WWE releasing old skool tshirts

Joey Styles tweeted about this earlier this week. Apparently AWA tshirts are planned soon.

wait a sec... why can they sell the WWF logo, but can't use it on air?

James Steele 11-04-2010 01:41 PM

They can use the old block WWF logo, but not the "Attitude Era" scratch WWF logo.

Kapoutman 11-04-2010 01:53 PM

The navy WCW shirt is pretty cool. Simple but classy. I'd wear it.

Triple Naitch 11-04-2010 01:58 PM

King of the Ring shirt.

Jordan 11-04-2010 02:46 PM

How are they using the WWF logo?

Word...:yes::yes:

Xero 11-04-2010 03:14 PM

This is fucking amazing.

#BROKEN Hasney 11-04-2010 03:57 PM

I'm releasing onto classic shirts, especially that WCW one.

I wish they did a Monday Night Jericho one though.

JimmyMess 11-04-2010 04:20 PM

This is phenomenal. Its like when you pick up old '80's and '70's rock t-shirts from concert gigs.

Providence Peep 11-04-2010 07:32 PM

Would any of you wear this one?

Ruien 11-04-2010 07:40 PM

They cost way to much for a shirt I would just wear to the gym.

I like the old school WCW shirt

Fignuts 11-04-2010 08:11 PM

When you said old school, I thought wrestler specific, not generic logos.

No Monday Night Jericho, makes Fignuts a sad Panda.

Emperor Smeat 11-04-2010 08:15 PM

The old Monday Night Raw shirts look good but too expensive with the $28 price and over $30 once shipping gets charged.

VSG 11-04-2010 10:09 PM

Damn I wanted to get the Raw Is War shirt but it seems too expensive for a regular shirt. Might wait for a while and get later.

BizarroKing 11-04-2010 10:28 PM

WCW!

They're cool but I'd really only be interested in wrestler or stable specific stuff, rather than logos.

Monday Night Jericho, or some vintage looking Macho Man/Warrior era stuff. I always loved the red Wolfpack shirt too. Not sure why since I wasn't even a big Wolfpack mark.

I agree with you, Jeritron. They should release more vintage stuff with Jericho, Warrior, Macho Man, Rockers, Hart Foundation, L.O.D., etc.

Jeritron 11-04-2010 11:00 PM

Maybe they don't want to pay royalties to some of those wrestlers. Would they even have to?
In the case of some, like Diesel and Razor Ramon, they own the names. So as long as it didn't feature their likness I don't think they'd have to pay.
And then others are under contract anyways.

Warrior and Macho Man would definitely have to get paid. Doesn't WWE want them under merchandising deals anyways?
It should get done eventually because there's plenty of $ to be made from both sides.

Wouldn't that be a little hypocritical of the E though? Especially with Warrior, after the release of the "Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" dvd.

Xero 11-04-2010 11:31 PM

It'd be more hypocritical of Warrior, really.

The Pope 11-04-2010 11:52 PM

I'd buy the beanie

weather vane 11-05-2010 12:23 AM

I have that exact Macho Man shirt...

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-05-2010 01:13 AM

I'm really digging the Akeem colors WWE beanie! I'm gonna pretend I'm from Deepest Darkest Africa and didn't get my gimmick stolen by John Cena!

Rammsteinmad 11-05-2010 03:12 AM

Some pretty cool stuff, but damn it's so expensive.

Cool King 11-05-2010 04:48 AM

I thought this wasn't "thread worthy" so I posted it in the "100,000" Replies thread about three days ago.

I was wrong, this clearly is thread worthy.

I hope these make it to Euroshop but a part of me is doubting it. WWEShop seems to get alot of cool exclusive stuff while Euroshop just gets the usual merchandise.

If they don't make it to Euroshop, is it possible to create an account on WWEShop and get merchandise shipped? :shifty:

Yeah, but it's fucking expensive to ship. Was looking at getting a baby Miz t-shirt for my friends new baby.

Really want this one, awesome.

Jordan 11-05-2010 03:15 PM

I don't own any WWE shirts but I'd wear any of those. The retroness makes it acceptable.

thedamndest 11-05-2010 05:25 PM

The shirts look good but it's a stupid concept because none of these vintage shirts existed in the era they're supporting. Fake retro.

Providence Peep 11-05-2010 08:55 PM

I wasn't aware of that :-\

Xero 11-05-2010 08:57 PM

I fucking hate "faded" shirts. Even if it's a real shirt from the past (which, as Thed pointed out, they aren't) it's fucking stupid. It's almost as stupid as buying ripped jeans.

Could totally go for an nWo shirt.
