What game were you anticipating more then any other?
For me, It was likely SvR 2006. Waited for that so long and played it 22 hours straight when I got it.

Didn't really start buying a lot of games on release day until this generation of consoles but those three were the ones I anticipated the longest. |

Probably Street Fighter IV most recently. Watched so much video in preparation. I also remember nearly going crazy waiting for the next NFL Street franchise to come out. I love arcade football games like you wouldn't believe.

May be Ghostbusters, at least lately that is last one. Was excited for wrestling games on N64 and that I guess, but can't recall a specific one I went SOOOO crazy for.

Probably either Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 or Gran Turismo 4.
I played GT4 so much, but I probably haven't put 2 hours into MUA 2 yet. I think MUA2 is the only game I have ever preordered, and I rushed to the store to get it the day it came out. Got home, popped it in right away and it just was deflating. It isn't bad, but it isn't what I had it built up in my mind to be I suppose. Especially after all the time I put into the first one. Even when they rereleased the DLC I got it thinking I would play, and I started it long enough to check out the characters and cut it off and never went back. I keep putting other games in front of it thinking I'll get this out of the way quickly then get MUA2 done. |

Recently it was Batman: Arkham Asylum. I read all the previews, watched all the videos, and had myself convinced that this was not only going to be the best Batman game ever, but it was going to be a great game period. I definitely skipped class to go buy this thing first thing in the morning and then played it non-stop all day long and was not disappointed with it at all.
When I was a kid it was WCW vs. nWo: Revenge for N64. I and my friend were unbelievably hyped about the idea of being able to play as Goldberg and members of the Wolfpack. That game was awesome too. |

Yeah I was definitely hyped for Ocarina of Time too. Pre-ordered it like 10 seconds after it was announced so I could get the limited edition cartridge.

New Vegas. I didn't play Fallout 3 until about 6 months ago and when I did play it, I played it for like 2 weeks straight and beat the game and all the DLC's. I couldn't wait to play more. I was not disappointed, tho I was not that impressed.

Star Fox 64 was another one. come on, the fucking CONTROLLER would shake! then after a few days it would make this horrible rattling sound whenever it shook

WWF Attitude, I remember seeing screen shots in magazines and was extremely looking forward to it, it was the game I just couldnt wait to play.

Probably Smackdown Just Bring It. It came out on my 11th Birthday and I was getting that and a PS2 so the month of November in 2001 was probably the longest month of my life waiting for that.
