If Brock Lesnar did come back....AND remembering Brock's first few months
He has to do a program with Cena and then Orton
When Lesnar was around he was THE man and probably will still be, since I look at him as higher than Cena and Orton.... Cena and Orton are the top guys of today, but if you think about it, in 2002, Lesnar came up at the same time with these guys, and was squashing Orton on SD! I DUNNO, it'd be interesting to see Lesnar come back and "RECLAIM HIS THRONE" because as soon as Lesnar left in 2004, we all saw the emergence of guys like Cena, Batista, Orton. Seeing Lesnar in the current landscape of today, which IMO, he was the frontrunner of, the torch barrer, so to speak. If you would classify (Cena, Batista, Orton) as a generation of guys that came up together, Brock was the leader of this pack. (remember, Batista came up in 2002 as well as Deacon Batista) Probably won't happen, cuz Taker wants him all to himself, man love_style -------- Now onto his first few months in WWF/E. If I recall, the last time I was so into a storyline/angle, would have to be Brock coming in destroying random people. Destroying Spike Dudley, Molly Holly, Hurricane, Mark Henry. I don't know why they don't do stuff like that today. The heat he had felt so real at the time and it all came from his actions in the ring. Post your thoughts/memories of Brock's debut in 2002 |
Basically, it'd be similar to The Rock coming back....
You started in wrestling, then you go outside of wrestling to become something even bigger (Rock in Hollywood, Brock in MMA/UFC). Not even Austin can be considered on the same par as Rock and Brock in this regard. In wrestling, yes, Austin is higher and more of a legend. But for a guy like Brock to come back to WWE, would be like coming in with his nose up looking "down" on the WWE (superstars), cuz in a way he is superior. Once again, RECLAIMING HIS THRONE. Was kinda getting bored with him in MMA. I think he needs to go back to his roots for a bit (I know his real roots is amateur wrestling and in reality, he did go back to his competitive roots by going into MMA. But what I meant was that he go back to what got him famous in the first place: WWE) It all depends if he wants and likes WWE enough to commit to something like this. I'd think he'd draw huge, similar to Rock in 2003. Rock came in 2003 for 3 feuds: Hogan, then Austin, and finally Goldberg. Have Brock come in for 3 months. First feud with Undertaker, then Orton, and finally Cena. I think it's a win/win for WWE and the UFC, unless Brock gets hurt bad enough |
Always loved these moments with Brock.

nice I was hoping someone would post those early clips of Brock
I was easily a Brock fan....Minnesota all the way.
amazing, Hardy's really looked good in that first clip
Those Powerbombs to Jeff were sick.
He'd probably want creative control if he ever did come back. He'd be walking away from much more money and freedom doing mma than he'd have back in the wwe. It'd be hard to go back to having your career and private life controlled as much as it is, after basically having an entire training camp dedicated to him.

I'm not completely sure that today's WWE fans would embrace Brock I mean with the PG era in full effect I just don't think Brock would fit in. In his time I think Brock was a monster and a true superstar deserving of the term but he just doesn't have that 'it' factor that Cena and Orton have come to have over time. Mabe it's just me I don't know but I just don't think Brock should come back I think he'd only be hindered by the PG era and ruin his short but dominant legacy.
stfu about pg.
I'm going to try that PG excuse on everything that goes wrong, and see if it works. Because obviously it works in every thread we got.

I really can't think of anything Lesnar ever did that would violate the PG standard. Maybe wiping Hogan's blood on himself. And kissing Kurt Angle.

Those god damn chairshots...

Or hell look at Austin he's a perfect example of not fitting in I mean sure he still get's a pop but let's face it we are all disapointed with his ocasional appearances because he just doesn't have that flair he had back in the day and I think that's what we'd get with Lesnar a watered down shell of what we once knew.
I would love Brock v Cena.
Big Brock mark right here.
Don't really agree with the stuff being said about not fitting in the PG landscape tbh. I want him to come back but I understand he would HAVE to lose in some of these fueds. |
A Lesnar return would be huge business for the WWE. I can just see him coming back onto RAW and taking control of the main event scene. He could be the big destructive monster that John Cena desperately needs to make his matches interesting. I can definitely see Lesnar coming in, wrecking havoc on RAW, taking the WWE title from Cena CLEAN, and then building Cena back up to the big rematch. It could be epic and I would love to see it. Not to mention the idea of Lesnar vs today's Randy Orton, the Lesnar vs. Triple H match we never got to see, and other possibilities like Lesnar vs. Sheamus and Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan are interesting as well.
In honor of Lesnar's awesome push during his first few months: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Bovr3V56w64?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Bovr3V56w64?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> |

Brock Lesnar vs Wes Hand NCAA 2000 National Title match. If you're a fan of am-wrestling, this was a good match.

You can tell just by UFC 100 that he has a little bit of wrestling left in him, promo wise, I know if he comes back that he'll fit in just fine, probably just job Big Show out for his first program and reestablish whatever he had back in the day.
It's funny that Big Show was actually the first one to take the title off him and actually turned heel to join Heyman. Didn't care for Brock when he was a face.
If he comes back which he probably won't, it won't be for a long time. He doesn't like pro wrestling that much.
lol also I'm pretty sure The Naitch "being bored of him in the ufc" isn't going to cause him to go back to the WWE lulllz.
it might if I e-mail him
based on a Fighters' Only interview with Dana White, Brock in the WWE "Ain't gonna happen..."
