I don't want to speculate because I could be wrong, but I believe the poster's intended question was whether or not there was ever a wrestler whose entire gimmick was based off a being a lifeguard.

In that regards...nothing comes to mind..

I believe there have been "surfer" style characters before or at least done in the short term like wrestler debuts but not life guards as characters.

Surprised TNA never thought of having a life guard character during the time they had Sharkboy as a wrestler. Of course that would have meant to make Sharkboy a bad guy and the life guard protecting other wrestlers from him.

The Sandman began as a surfer character.

Also, back in the early 90's AWA days they had 'California Kid' Tommy Jammer - who was implied to be a surfer type gimmick.

Also, there was a FL based indy tag team for a while called The Lifeguards - look em up on YouTube. They sucked ass, but they do answer your question.

Great memory.

Wasn't Shane Douglas a surfer at one point? Or just some generic late 80s/early 90s "dude"?

Douglas was teamed with Johnny Ace as the Dynamic Dudes - but they were a skateboarding gimmicked team. I remember he used to carry around the board as a gimmick.

Many moons ago, this used to bascially be my forum.

People would ask questions, and I'd provide the answers.

Knew I didn't imagine that.
