Rank the "New Wave" of WWE Superstars

Inspired by a post that Mr. Pierre made. Take pretty much every wrestler who has debuted in WWE, post CM Punk, and rank them. You can rank how many and for whatever reason you want. It can be wrestling skills, overall ability, or their kayfabe accomplishments in WWE.

I'll post mine later.

CSL 11-18-2010 07:28 PM

I enjoy watching Justin Gabriel. He can go.

Mr. Pierre 11-18-2010 07:40 PM

My Top 10

1) Jack Swagger
2) Sheamus
3) Wade Barrett
4) Daniel Bryan
5) Kofi Kingston
6) Alberto Del Rio
7) Dolph Ziggler
8) Evan Bourne
9) Cody Rhodes
10) Kaval

Triple Naitch 11-18-2010 07:43 PM

Post CM Punk meaning everybody who debuted after he did.

Mr. Pierre 11-18-2010 07:44 PM

Ok then, edited.

MoFo 11-18-2010 08:22 PM

I like Sheamus and Swagger, the rest can go fuck themselves.

Jeritron 11-18-2010 08:29 PM

So that doesn't include Punk? If not, here's my list. If he is to be included, then put him at 1 and everyone else slides a spot.

1. Wade Barrett
2. Daniel Bryan
3. Sheamus
4. Dolph Ziggler (Spirit Squad shouldn't really count)
5. Hart Dynasty (collective unit)
7. Alberto Del Rio
8. Evan Bourne
9. Kaval
10. Jack Swagger & Kofi Kingston (tie)

Others (in order):
Santino Marella
Michael McGillicutty
Cody Rhodes
Ted Dibiase Jr.
Justin Gabriel
Yoshi Tatsu
Slater, Sheffield, Young, Tarver, Otunga, Harris etc.
(No real preference in ranking. I've only really cared about these guys as Nexus goons so far, so they're all equals besides Gabriel and McGillicutty who stand out a bit more. And Barrett is obviously the leader and lightyears ahead.)

Don't really give a fuck:
Luke Gallows
Drew McIntyre
Croft and Barretta
Ezekiel Jackson
Tyler Reks
Vance Archer
The Usos

You know, The Miz didn't start as a wrestler on the fulltime roster until Sept. 2006 (after Punk). Obviously he was "around" before Punk though. So can he be counted?

HBPunk 11-18-2010 08:34 PM

ehhhhhhhh THE MIZ!!!!

2. sheamus
3. swagger
4. bryan
5. gabriel

HBPunk 11-18-2010 08:34 PM

so eh yes he can

A CSL post I actually agree with. His matches with Orton and Cena were very good.

The Naitch 11-18-2010 08:46 PM

This is the most accurate list, fuckers :foc:

1) Wade Barrett
2) Sheamus
3) Jack Swagger
4) Daniel Bryan
5) Kofi Kingston
6) Cody Rhodes
7) Drew McIntyre
8) Kaval
9) Evan Bourne
10) Zack Ryder

Miz was in WWE way before CM Punk. So fuck off :foc:

Triple Naitch 11-18-2010 08:56 PM

Miz debuted on WWE television in May 2006. Punk started in July 2006.

The Naitch 11-18-2010 09:04 PM

I stand corrected

but technically, Miz really started from Tough Enough in 2005

Nicky Fives 11-18-2010 09:08 PM

Barrett, Swagger, Ziggler & Sheamus are the stand outs to me.....

With guys like Kofi, McIntyre, Rhodes, Kaval & Bourne being one step behind.....

Theo Dious 11-18-2010 09:43 PM

Sheamus, DiBiase, Rhodes, Natalya, and Kofi are the only ones I can actually watch.

But he was a host. He didn't do any wrestling. Whatever though, he had been around for a while anyways

KIRA 11-18-2010 11:30 PM

I get the feeling that DBD is unappreciated the match he had with Swagger was easily the best of the night yet the reaction was mediocre

1.Barrett

2.Daniel Bryan

3. Kingston

4.Evan Bourne

5. Justin Gabriel

Jeritron 11-18-2010 11:33 PM

I'm curious how this turned into Top 5s and 10s. I thought Triple Naitch asked for a ranking of everyone active that debuted since 2006.

dronepool 11-18-2010 11:44 PM

Daniel Bryan
Barrett
Kaval
Kingston
Evan Bourne
Swagger
Sheamus (He's better than he came off last year)

Those guys.

Tommy Gunn 11-19-2010 06:30 AM

1. MVP (debuted at Survivor Series 2006 I do believe, a few months after Punk appeared on ECW) Just a biased choice being my favourite wrestler
2. Wade Barrett - First british guy that can believably go all the way to the top
3. Cody Rhodes - Really coming into his own even though he looked like 'yourself' from WWF Challenge on the NES
4. Layla - For some reason has gone from Diva search winner to competent and entertaining wrestler, she impresses me
5. The other Nexus guys - exciting amount of potential
6. Alex Riley - Drunk driving genius on the mic, needs a chance to show what he's got

Nightwing 11-22-2010 01:29 PM

Sheamus
Daniel Bryan
Wade Barrett
Kofi
DiBiase

Rammsteinmad 11-22-2010 02:35 PM

I can't be bothered to rank them etc, but I can definitely confirm:

1. Wade Barrett.

Jordan 11-22-2010 03:51 PM

1. Sheamus
2. Barrett
3. Bryan
4. Del Rio
5. Ziggler
6. Swagger
7. Santino
8. Kingston
9. Evan Bourne
10. Kaval

Savio 11-22-2010 04:51 PM

Wade Barret is the man

Cuzziebro 11-23-2010 07:22 AM

1. Barret - Great wrestler, great character, great all round.
2. Bryan - Amazing wrestler. Enough said.
3. Sheamus - Credible threat. Love his matches.
4. Santino - Pure gold. Needs to be repackaged as a credible threat!
5. Gabriel - Enjoyable. Would like to see more once he is out of Nexus
6. Ziggler - Keep him with Vicki for as long as possible
7. Swagger - Awesome and Enjoyable. However should have kept the American wrestling gear.
8. Kaval - See explanation 2.
9. Natalya - Love her!
10. Alex Riley - Great mic skills. Want to see a lot more of him actually wrestling and winning.

Special mention (in no particular order): Evan Bourne, Alberto Del Rio, Michael McGillicutty, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase Jr., and Drew McIntyre

Aguakate 11-28-2010 12:38 AM

This is probably the most good, young talent WWE has had all at once. And the best thing about it is that they (WWE) are developing all of them all at once, in different ways. They're not just young guys who are jobbing to the stars...they are BECOMING stars.
