Has anyone read this? Is it good?

I'm usually mostly interested in Marvel, but considering it was written by Ennis, I thought I might give it a go.

I just read the first book of this. Seemed pretty good.

Absolutely brilliant stuff.

So many great characters, story-lines etc...

Don't think Garth Ennis will ever better what he done with Preacher.

It is consistent the whole way through and the ending is absolutely perfect. The bit with Herr Starr trying on hats is probably the funniest thing ever put in a comic book

The only comics that even comes near it over the last few years is Brubaker / Phillip's Sleeper.
