The Miz question
Has he always been a heel character while in the WWE and to a lesser extent in WWE's developmental companies?
I can't remember if he's ever changed since he debuted as a heel when wearing those long shorts, heel with Morrison, heel with Big Show, heel during NXT and winning the Money in the Bank. Any other wrestlers that have never changed over years during the last few years in the WWE? |
Kofi Kingston hasn't been a heel.
Dolph Ziggler hasn't been a face. Evan Bourne hasn't been a heel. I don't feel like thinking much past this, but I feel there are plenty in the midcard who haven't seen a change. |
He started on Smackdown as a face, sure of it.
And Ted DiBiase has never turned face. |
Yeah, when he started, The Miz was a face.
He started as "The host of SmackDown!" then moved on to host the Diva Search, though he had poor mic skils and always had "stage fright" during his mic work, which was very obvious to everyone. He was a face, though people hated him because they found him to be annoying. But after the Diva Search, he became a heel on SmackDown then disappeared for a while, (He was probably sent back to OVW) then returned to SmackDown and was noticeably not a nervous when talking on the mic as he was before. Since then, he's been a heel. |

I thought his initial character was an over-the-top fanboy / wrestler butt-kisser who was meant to be a face but who received a lot of heel heat because the character was sooooooooooo annoying. Also, and being a die-hard Bret Hart fan I never thought I'd say this, he really made Bret look good in that mini-feud where he dropped the United States title to him. Bret, in his prime, made a lot of wrestlers look good. The Miz, I believe, made Bret look amazing considering all his no-bump restrictions etc. |
How come no one mentioned Cena as one who hasn't changed character in the last few years?
Has Vickie Guerrero been a face once she took a permanent role with WWE? |
Because he said "ever changed", as in people who started in the past few years.

Miz was so terrible as Poochy.
|
Can someone explain the whole Poochy thing to me?
|
Well, I think I was on my "hiatus" from TPWW, when the Poochy thing started, but I think I picked it up.
When The Miz first came to the WWE, he was trying too hard to be "cool" with what he said and wore and generally how he acted, but everyone just hated him and wanted him to go away. The same is felt for the character "Poochy" from The Simpsons. He was a new character added to The Itchy & Scratchy Show that tried too hard to be "cool" with what he said and wore and generally how he acted, but nobody liked him and they wanted him to go away, which he did, unlike The Miz who stayed and became awesome. Also, I'll add that, to me, at the start of The Miz's first theme, it sounded like Poochy playing the guitar. |

What Cool King said.
|
Isn't it sad how when John Morrison and Miz broke up as a tag team everyone thought John would go onto bigger and better things.
Now here we are under a year later and Miz is champion and John Morrison is on the cusp. |
On the BS Report Miz said that he jokingly went up to Morrison and said "I told you I wasn't the Jannetty."

He started out wrestling as a face jobber with the name "The Miz" Mike Mizanin and he sometimes tagged with Caylen Croft (who was called Chris Cage at the time) which he also used briefly when he redebuted on SD but was quickly dropped soon thereafter.
