Thoughts on SABU
I am a huge Sabu fan. I want to know your thoughts on his career, abilities, wrestling style, just anything that you feel that needs to be said about the greatest destroyer of furniture that the wrestling world has seen..... go!
|
Sabu was awesome in ECW, dont remember him ever speaking there so him cutting promos in wwecw just weirded me out. Still rather watch him botch than Jeff Hardy.
|
Love Sabu. I don't care what anyone says.
Him putting Cena through a table on Raw is maybe one of my favorite moments ever. |

Sabu was great for what he was (a one man spot fest), but highly overrated in the grand scheme of things.
|
he was great at first, but then his matches all seemed to be the same thing over and over
|
He had a few 'holy shit' moments, but for the most part I couldn't care less.
|
Sabu? Oh the guy that botches his moves on a consistant bases, and was never a main event guy outside of a company that was by far the worst on television at that time. Yeah, wouldn't bother me to never see him again.
|
Hes the original Shelton Benjamin, meaning an overrated botch monster.
|
Love him.

the first time i saw him, he slipped off something.
i read about how he almost filleted his arm in a barbed wire match vs terry funk, taped it up and finished the match. that's impressive, i guess. i've always liked his pants. |

I don't mind Sabu, he's had a few great moments and caused some fine controversies, but you can't expect me to respect him because he's botched 10 years off his career through injury. |
Spotmonkey who, now bald, looks like a cancerous monkey.

Before I really realized what those people in ECW where doing to themselves, Sabu was by far my favorite wrestler in that company. I still have a soft spot in my heart for him.
You kinda gotta seperate the ECW stuff as a sub-section of pro wrestling, one that employed psychology and barbarism over wrestling ability (yes, there was actuall wrestling there too, but still...), and at this, he joins that pantheon of Raven, Tommy Dreamer and Sandman. As a wrestler, he was shit. But i'd still probably pay to see him. |
I've seen him up close. Covered in scars. That hardcore shit with barbed wire and stuff is not worth the damage you do to yourself. Like, I can appreciate the effort, but is it worth not being able to pick up your kids or grandkids?

Sabu is ass.
|
He did nice flippy things through tables.
|
Sabu was awesome when I was in middle-school, but i'm just not as thrilled with him nowadays.

his work in ECW was amazing.
doesn't really fit in anywhere now, and should probably give it up. |

Sabu?
Well, he did some dives and "flips and things" that would look ok...only problem is that he would have to try most of the "flip and things" more than once in order for them to come out right. |
Loved him in ECW and during the initial appearances in the WWE but his series of matches against the Big Show for the ECW title showed how limited he is when he has to wrestle the WWE style or mat-based wrestling.
|
I like the guy. He is entertaining to watch..however, only in the hardcore setting. I enjoyed his short stay in WWE..but he just didn't fit with the "program". Enjoyed all his hardcore bouts with Foley and Funk back in the 90's. He has always looked like he is fucking insane..now even more without the hair.

Air Sabu is cool.
|
his uncle was the original Sheik
http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.co...s/sheik/12.jpg who was hardcore yrs before it became well known as a style Sheik abused his body as well but Sabu I rather enjoyed in ECW him and RVD were an interesting tag team I think Sabu just sorta did the same sorta gimmick but adapted it for modern times |
