Who will be the first Nexus member to be future endeavored?
As the group stands now and after it's all over, I would have to say Heath Slater. Barrett is being pushed to be a main eventer. Otunga, as awful as he is, is most likely going to stay. I see Gabriel getting drafted to Smackdown and a possible IC run , and McGillicutty and Harris forming a legacy type tag team. I can't say much for Skip Sheffield, but I really don't see Heath Slater staying around very long.

Michael Tarver is bland. No contest.
|
the one with the gay long hair
|
...Yeah, Heath Slater.

I was informed the other day that it was Titus ONeil who said that one. I thought it was Tarver as well

|
Oh....
|
...Brian Danielson... :shifty:

Tarver will not be the first. He's got talent and he pulls off the mean, menacing look very well. Plus, he's pretty good on the mic.
It'll be Slater, if I had to pick one. Or Skip. |
This thread is not worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on.

Between Tarver and Slater.

Tarver and Skip will get another chance once both come back from injury and Otunga is too valuable to get rid of due to his connections with celebrities and his wife.
Probably going to be Tarver but wouldn't be surprised if its Heath Slater since tag teams in the WWE don't last long these days and Gabriel has a better appeal and value than Heath as a singles wrestler. |
Um, idiots.
Did anyone else watch the beginning of NXT when Heath cut his promos? He was a fan favorite, a regular babyface, and a prominent factor. He resembles CM Punk as a face and has the charisma to be another decent midcard. Being on the Nexus, he's been forced to play the role as a heel which hasn't helped his character building but eventually it will. Unlike *dashing* Cody Rhodes who went over better with Ted Dibiase, Heath will do much better as a singles competitor and compete against the likes of Rhodes, Mcintyre, and others. |
<font color=goldenrod>Darren Young or Michael Tarver</font>
|
Hopefully Heath Slater.
|
I am still surprised Michael Tarver has a slot on the Raw roster page to be frank.

Skip Sheffield will violate the Wellness Policy...... I must be one of the few that actually enjoy Heath Slater.....

I consider Daniel Bryan a member of the Nexus. It was only one appearance, but he was part of the movement.
The guys that I can see being released are the guys that aren't in Nexus at the moment. David Otunga is the worst, but will stick around. Someone really loves Heath Slater, and the guy actually has the potential to get really over. Justin Gabriel is the goods, Michael McGillicutty is the goods, and Husky Harris' dad works for the company and is really young so will be developmentaled before anything. Michael Tarver is someone I can see the WWE releasing. Beyond having presence, the guy has pretty much nothing else going on for him. Skip Sheffield has value to the WWE, has presence, seems to "get it," but he needs the WWE far more than they need him. They can do something with Sheffield, but they could also cut him and no one would even know. I could see the WWE going either way. Darren Young is a solid talent with a good look, but I could see him being released, too. But yeah, I see Michael Tarver being released first. |
I hope Sheffield stays, I'm a little girly mark for a big lariat (unless it's Bradshaw doing it).
|
Sheffield is awesome as a bad-ass heel. He had such great presence with the Nexus, and all he had to do was stand around and look menacing. If he ever turned face and tried to destroy Wade Barrett, I can imagine him getting quite over without changing much of his personality. I sort of see him how I saw Rhyno when he was with the Alliance. Funnily enough, both got injured and halted their momentum.
I would love to see Sheffield return and join the Nexus, since he was never "ex-communicated." They just mentioned he was out hurt. |
<font color=goldenrod>Not that it means all that much but there was a WWE.com article detailing the history of the Nexus and it mentioned that Young, Sheffield, and Tarver were all "weak" and not fit for the group.
I think Nexus will definitely last until at least WM. My hope is that Tarver and Sheffield return by then with aims at taking revenge on the group for kicking them out. Darren Young also joins up, as does David Otunga who seems like he'll be out of the group any minute now. Then of course there's Daniel Bryan, who probably would be better suited in a one-on-one match with someone (CM Punk?) but him being involved would make sense. Since MITB probably won't happen, you know they'll do some clusterfucks to get as many guys on the show as they can. Daniel Bryan, Darren Young, Skip Sheffield, Michael Tarver, and David Otunga vs. Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Michael McGillicutty, Husky Harris, and a standout heel from NXT Season 4 who joins later on (Brodus Clay or Conor O'Brian) Nexus lose that, and Wade Barrett loses to The Undertaker to end the group for good.</font> |
Darren Young. No momentum, no USP, nothing.
|
Darren Young. I was surprised he's still with the company now.

Wade Barrett losing to The Undertaker is something I completely agree with, but when they end the group, I hope there's a moment where they surround Barrett, and he's like "aw, shit" before they kick the crap out of him having removed their Nexus t-shirts and arm-bands. They don't all need to turn face afterwards, per se -- but I feel it would be a fitting end to the group, and get people interested in where they are going next. I hope for Justin Gabriel it is SmackDown!, because the kid can work and would be an amazing addition to that roster. |
Darren Young will always have the Cena-look a like thing to fall back on before they can him, and if they don't go full on with that then the WWE is run by a bunch of morons.

If they had actually kept Cena off TV for a month or so, Darren Young stealing Cena's gimmick while he was "fired" would have been mega heel heat. We havent seen or heard from John Cena for weeks, Wade Barrett is gloating in the ring about how we will never see Cena again when the music hits, the crowd erupts, Nexus look on in horror... and out comes Darren Young in Cena merch.
