Sorry for another Jeff Hardy thread, but he's pleading guilty.

CARTHAGE - Jeff Hardy, a professional wrestler from Cameron who was arrested last year on drug charges, plans to plead guilty in court next month, according to the Moore County district attorney.

Moore County deputies raided Hardy's home in September 2009 after Fayetteville police received a tip about drug use there.

Lawmen found about 262 doses of Vicodin, a prescription painkiller, 180 Soma prescription pills, 55 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He faces several drug charges.

Hardy, 33, is the current world champion of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling on the Spike TV cable channel.

About time they get it over with.

ooTin 12-27-2010 12:03 PM

good... Hardy is finally taking responsibility for his actions.

Nightwing 12-27-2010 12:09 PM

Cool, so no reason for TNA to take the belt off of him anytime soon then.

dronepool 12-27-2010 03:28 PM

It would be sorta cool if they have the cops come to TNA and take him away while working this into a gimmick.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-27-2010 03:32 PM

Jeff: I'm the antichrist...

TNA still has Russo as a writer so I'd expect this to occur within a few weeks.

Xero 12-27-2010 04:13 PM

Yeah let's glorify a guy's real life battle with drugs.

SOCCER LEGS 12-27-2010 04:21 PM

you really think tna is above that?

CSL 12-27-2010 04:22 PM

WWE and WCW haven't been in the past, don't see why TNA would be held to any kind of standards for doing the same thing. That said, it'd be an awful idea.

They might not even take the title off him, just use it as a stupid gimmick.

Shadow 12-27-2010 04:36 PM

Probably got a good plea deal that doesn't have any form of jail time.

Aguakate 12-27-2010 06:51 PM

Punk should never let his hair grow, unless he's going for the "Straight Edge Savior" look again.

The look he has now fits him.

Mooияakeя™ 12-29-2010 02:57 PM

Love how they'll explain his jail time if he does go. They'd be tools not to just see it for what it is and man up in todays world.

Mr. Nerfect 12-30-2010 08:29 PM

They'll probably just have Ken Anderson win the belt, destroy it, and then Matt Morgan will put Hardy on the shelf.

Xero 12-31-2010 01:00 PM

From PWInsider:

When Jeff Hardy pleads guilty to his drug charges on 1/20, it will be part of a plea bargain negotiated with the Moore County Prosecutor's office, according to The Southern Pines Pilot.

"We anticipate a resolution of this matter in January," Hardy's attorney, Jeff Van Camp, told the newspaper.

District Attorney Maureen Krueger told the newspaper that that the agreement would include a guilty plea to "one or more of the drug charges" Hardy faces and that the agreement includes a sentencing agreement. There is a chance that the court could reject the agreement, but that isn't considered likely.

Hardy was arrested in September 2009 at his home and charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony drug trafficking of opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to redistribute a Schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Pope 12-31-2010 01:09 PM

Im guessing he's pleading guilty because he's going to get very little to no jail time at all.
