Ever used a wrestling move in a real fight?

I used the crossface on a guy twice my size, and I ended up winning.

So what moves have you guys used?

Savio 04-25-2004 01:43 PM

Never got in a real fight.

Yeah, whatever

Kane Knight 04-25-2004 01:48 PM

Given that I was in High School wrestling before they shut down the program (Yeah, wrestling's too violent  ) I'd have to go for yes.

Not any pro wrestling moves...Well, a couple of times I did something similar to a chokeslam, but I don't count it, since it wasn't a "real" wrestling chokeslam.

Shaggy 04-25-2004 01:49 PM

I dont think I have ever used a move in a fight.

Loose Cannon 04-25-2004 01:50 PM

DDT: Oh man, you should of heard the thump of the guys head hitting the ground. I know he saw stars when he sat up.

Loose Cannon 04-25-2004 02:09 PM

ilt_undertaker 04-25-2004 02:11 PM

I used the Sweet Chin Music on this girl and knocked some of her teeth out

Rob 04-25-2004 02:15 PM

Haven't had a proper fight in years. Only ever used chokes and punches.

The Mackem 04-25-2004 02:21 PM

...and nails

Chokes are massively effective. I've noticed that when you reach for someone's throat in any way, shape, or form, that people tend to piss themselves and start scrambling to try and break the hold...

Ian 04-25-2004 02:22 PM

Chops

What Would Kevin Do? 04-25-2004 02:29 PM

Power of the Punch...

The crippler crofface is not a painful move, unless you're arm is draped around their throat.

BTW, Power of the Punch

KillerWolf 04-25-2004 03:02 PM

ive used the head-butt. does that count?

Disturbed316 04-25-2004 03:03 PM

Power of the Punch
Sweet chin music, although I got the guy in the chest, major botch job there :o

Emeye 04-25-2004 03:05 PM

It was Regal's finisher when he used brass knuckles to punch out the guy.

LOL @ the guy who said he won a fight with the Crossface. I know he's lying because the Crossface is just about the easiest move to get out of, since your legs and both arms are free for movement.

In a wrestling match (amateur) in high school, I started off on the bottom with the other guy topping me in the referee's position. The ref blew the whistle and I scrambled to the top. I got to my feet, but this guy was still tight on my back, and his head and an arm just happened to be over my shoulder. I grabbed his head and arm in a tight grip, winked at my friend who was standing at mat-side, then dropped to my ass in a quick move. STUNNER! STUNNER! BAH GAWD A STUNNER!!!

No, I didn't get that reaction. Instead, the kid started crying and tapped out (Me: "OMG he's tapping!!!") from the pain, and the ref stopped the match. The kids coaches bitched at me, but my coaches told me it was alright. I asked if it had been legal, and he said technically I had his arm as well as his head (you're not allowed to grab just the head), but that it was also the most violent god damn thing he'd ever seen in a wrestling match.

The match restarted a few minutes later, and I pinned him quickly with a head and arm Rodeo toss. I tried to tell him sorry afterwards, but he was pretty pissed.

Savio 04-25-2004 03:25 PM

LOL No, I just rolled that sumbitch onto his back to try to pin him, all the while he's screaming and slapping the mat over and over again.

I should've stood up and threw the fingers in the air before signalling for my team mates to throw me a few cold ones. Of course, at that time I was more worried about whether I'd snapped his vertebrae or not.

Nowhere Man 04-25-2004 03:33 PM

The only ones I've used in real fights were the sleeper and the kata-katame (Tazzmission) When I took karate, during our mat wrestling matches, I got pretty good at making people tap to the juji-katame (armbar), but I've never used it in a real fight.

Oh, and I STO'ed a guy when he was trying to pick a fight with me. Ended the fight before it even began.

OssMan 04-25-2004 03:33 PM

Stunner, and I F-5ed my friend on a bed, but we weren't fighting.

lol, I'm picturing this whole scenerio in my head where you stun the guy then do all the talking sh** and give him the double finger. Then:

REF: What the hell, you can't do tha......

**BAM Stunner to the ref**

Then you call for some beers from the crowd and you splash them on the ref.

Coach from other team: WTF is your problem, that move is ille......

**BAM Stunner to him**

**Crowd Pops.

Yeah :shifty:
