CM Punk hates kids

Via PWTorch

PWTorch reader Jeremy Wilkins sent in the following first-hand report of a fan incident involving C.M. Punk at Sunday's WWE Supershow in Shreveport, La.

As C.M. Punk was exiting (following his match against Mark Henry), he was shouting at numerous fans at ringside. He approached a family with two small children and began to do the same.

After some lengthy jawing back and forth, he screamed at one of the kids (age 10 or so) to slap him. The child did so. Punk laughed it off and shouted, "Oh yea! Slap me again." At this point, he grabbed the kid by the shirt, thus sending the kid into tears and stretching out his shirt.

This is when it got real serious. Punk and the child's parents had to be separated. As Punk walked off, I could hear him yelling, "He scratched my eye," which was evident by a little bit of swelling.

Security then escorted the family away for questioning. They also questioned a few of us at ringside and requested contact numbers.

It will be interesting to see if Punk shows any effects from this. I thought this was instigated by Punk, but with that being said, fans should never place their hands on a Superstar.

Wrestling is fake.

Xero 01-17-2011 07:56 PM

That's a dick move by Punk. Don't have a problem with him getting into something verbal with anyone, but touching them is crossing the line.

From PWInsider:

CM Punk was struck by a fan during a Shreveport, Louisana Raw house show last night during a match with Mark Henry. Punk was outside the ring taunting fans when a young fan reached out and struck him.

According to one person who was at the show, Punk grabbed the fan, which led to others trying to get involved and a number of fans were tossed out of the show. I've heard conflicting reports as to the age of the fan, as one person told me it was teenager with his friends while another person told me it was a younger fan with his family.

Punk worked as scheduled and according to those I spoke to today, was checked out by doctors for a possible eye injury. There was fear he may have scratched his cornea but I haven't heard if that was actually the case.

Punk is still scheduled to appear at tonight's Raw as scheduled, according to one source. There hasn't been any indication he was going to be missing any ring time backstage at Raw.

Should have put the kid in the Vice.

#BROKEN Hasney 01-17-2011 08:03 PM

He got off lightly anyway. The last fan to touch a wrestler from out of the crowd got what he had coming to him and he only spilt Punk's diet soda.

Can't believe these were to the back. So convincing.

Get it? First hand?

BizarroKing 01-17-2011 08:15 PM

That's what happens when wrestlers tend to egg fans on too much. Punk shouldn't have grabbed the kid's shirt either...

Supreme Olajuwon 01-17-2011 08:19 PM

Come on, this is in Shreveport, Louisiana. Deep South. Fans who take wrestling too seriously. This is a classic work. "One of the oldest in the book" some might say.

Punk was the one who instigated this incident, and if he really felt threatened by a kid who was only about ten years old, or really felt the need to grab the kid, Punk needs an appointment with the staff psychologist.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-17-2011 08:33 PM

It was probably just Hornswoggle

The Gold Standard 01-17-2011 08:34 PM

I should have clarified...i took the whole thing from PWTorch. My thoughts are not in it.

don't forget they had hidden microphones in the ring

Supreme Olajuwon 01-17-2011 08:53 PM

Jura 01-17-2011 09:13 PM

Kids are evil though.

CSL 01-17-2011 09:15 PM

Judging by what's floating around, Punk's been a bit of a bellend. Shocker.

blake639raw 01-17-2011 09:22 PM

What a heel.

TheAdamEvansFan 01-17-2011 09:28 PM

One of my other best friends, Light Moped, use to wrestle with CM Spunk in Chicago.

He said CM Punk was a huge POTHEAD who stole all the wrestling equipment and sold it all.

Yeah, you can't be one of the biggest heels in the company and challenge a 10 year old in the audience to slap you without thinking it might actually happen. Had he just laughed it off and walked away, it would've been cool, but grabbing the kid's shirt is taking it too far.

Troelar 01-17-2011 10:09 PM

I would say that fans should never touch a superstar, unless that superstar is actually asking them to. It's Punks own fault for actually asking someone to slap him - what did he expect?

Punk should either be satisfied that he can get fans so pumped that they actually slap him
or
Punk should be satisfied with a work well done.

Nicky Fives 01-17-2011 11:02 PM

A heel getting fans to hate him enough that they strike him.... sounds like he's doing his job to me.....

CSL 01-17-2011 11:04 PM

If he hadn't apparently told the kid to do it, you might have a point.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-18-2011 12:22 AM

CSL not a CM Punk fan. His top 5 list is all lies.

James Steele 01-18-2011 01:32 AM

CM Punk is fucking brilliant. Its not like he struck the kid.

CSL 01-18-2011 01:44 AM

That's not really the point though. I'm all for getting your character over and really playing it up, interacting with the audience etc, Stan Hansen pounding the shit out of any Jap fan dumb enough to get in his way for example. But those Jap fans know what's coming when Hansen comes out and they choose to be there and in the potential firing line. If what's going around is true, Punk seems to have thrown a hissy fit and roughed up a kid that he picked out because he told him to hit him and it backfired. Insult the kid, shout at him etc but don't grab hold of the fucker because you're angry, especially when your boss is striving for a kid friendly product.

If the 'reports' are accurate that is.

James Steele 01-18-2011 02:03 AM

I don't know how accurate these are as I live an hour from Shreveport and get our local news affiliates from there and haven't seen any redneck family trying to get press time or money. I imagine WWE would have issued from PR apology or something. I wish I would have gone to the show now.

Rammsteinmad 01-18-2011 02:31 AM

With all the 'fans should never touch wrestlers' comments floating around, in all fairness if the kid is really young, like ten or something, then how should they know any better.

Punk is still the man though.

Ol Dirty Dastard 01-18-2011 02:46 AM

Dont buy these reports for a second. If someone hit him and he lost it, it prolly wasn't a 10-year-old.

1st off the kid should have known better than to hit someone if he was ten, and if he didn't that's the parent's fault for not doing their god damn jobs.

2nd I don't believe the 'kid' was actually ten as I don't believe Punk would be that stupid as to grab a child. ( Besides we all know the internet is sooooooo truthful right? )

3rd I just wish Punk had picked the little bastard up and GTS'd his bratty little ass into next tuesday.

Nark Order 01-18-2011 03:04 AM

I like CM Punk so he didn't do anything wrong.
