Jeff Hardy's criminal case received yet another continuance today, reports ProWrestling.net.

The case received the continuance after both sides informed the presiding judge that they needed additional time to "negotiate a potential deal."

The case will be heard again on 2/16. Hardy was not present at the hearing.

I predict death penalty.

So, is he under probation/house arrest at the present time? If so, does that not count against his jail term?

Damnit. Isn't this kind of screwing Jeff? He could have served some time by now and been almost done.

Although I guess that would have

A) Effectively ended his wrestling career
B)Prevented him from continuing to do a bunch of drugs
C) Effectively ended Matt Hardy's wrestling career

Boring... & Matt to TNA is killing Jeff's already drug tarnished image... If there was one left...

Not really. Negotiating a plea deal is a lot more beneficial to Jeff than just letting him go straight to sentencing. It gives his attorney input on the sentence and lets the parties be creative and find a punishment that makes both sides happy.

And if the prosecution is asking for more time to work out a plea deal, that most likely means they believe they can reach an agreement.

Jeff Hardy's latest court hearing took place this morning and if you were betting on another continuance, you would be correct.

Prowrestling.net reported this morning that the hearing has been pushed back to 3/16 as Hardy's attorney was unavailable today due to his responsibilities in another case, where he is defending a client accused of murder.

Pushed back to 3/16? What is TNA attempting to work out a contract with austin? God when will this shit end.

What fucking get's me is that TNA put their World Title on him AGAIN. I dunno...maybe they're seeing some kind of 'charm' in him being a fucking dusthead thats deemed "Heavyweight Champion" worthy.

People are talking about Hardy 3/16, but it's an obvious swerve to set u a run in by the Ides of March.

The drug case against Jeff Hardy was continued yet again today in Moore County, NC Superior Court. It has now been going on for 18 months.

The reason was that Assistant District Attorney Warren McSweeney asked Judge James Webb to continue to the case while they await the results of lab tests from the State Bureau of Investigation on some of the evidence that was seized from Hardy's home 9/11/2009.

The sides are both still working on a plea deal.

Yeah, just saw this on NC local news. Even the reporters there asked each other on the air how long this has been going on, and even the weather guy said he thought it was all over with cause Hardy was wrestling in Fayetteville.

This guy is out of control. I pray that his closest family and friends hold an intervention for him.

as much as i hate to admit it... as someone who doesn't watch tna, i'm interested in knowing what finally happens. train wrecks are morbidly fascinating.

Man how long are they going to delay the inevitable? Hardy must have one hell of a lawyer, but sheesh, there's no way this case can get delayed THIS long.

They probably heard about what happened at Victory Road, and are hoping he OD's so they can save the money they would have spent on his prison sentence. Taking care of a mother fucker can be expensive.
