WWE stock continues to fall

From PWInsider:

As of this writing, the WWE stock is down to $11.86 a share. It closed at $13.50 on Friday, before news of lower Earnings Per Share than expected for the fourth quarter was announced by the company after hours. The stock has taken hits every day this week.

so this means they're gonna put the WWE Title on John cena next week?

Their history is all over the map!

Razzamajazz 01-26-2011 02:50 PM

Londoner 01-26-2011 02:53 PM

Oh no, the WWE is gonna go outta business!!!!1111

All this 'stock' stuff has always confused me, so I just ignore it and watch the consequences play out as they do ie, future endeavors.

Fuck if they drop another dollar, I might get ready to check into them.

Could the recent fall be related to once Cena got hurt, the WWE was offering refunds and almost admitting that he's the main reason they were making a good amount of money since the majority of their audience is kids and families. Same as when Cena lost and joined Nexus during a PPV, the majority of the crowd left even though there was another match left for the event.

Shareholders might be worried now that the WWE invested too much into just one guy and if he's hurt or gone, WWE no longer a good stock to buy or own.

WWE always wants to pay out a dividend, even if they have to dip into their cash reserves in order to do so. They might want to STOP paying it, especially when you're projected to come in at $.16 EPS and fall in around $.10.

Wonder if Vince might get desperate.

Make Cena a heel. Problem solved. *sarcasm*

I used to hold stock in the company. Got some shares as a christmas gift a few years back just after Vince took it public. I guess it got dumped midway or after the XFL disaster.

Remember, folks, this will an can never happen. Dozens of people have told me so over the years.

Johnny Vegas 01-27-2011 10:08 AM

It is a great time to buy. This reminds me of BP so much right now...lol people should STACK up BP shares b/c oil isn't going anywhere for another 10 years it seems. Exxon had a similar problem years ago and are making billions while we sleep.

XD

GOOD TIME TO BUY!

Supreme Olajuwon 01-27-2011 11:48 AM

They need Khali back on tv. He's the money maker.

Does he have an official shirt? Get him one. Problem solved.

Snowden 01-27-2011 12:11 PM

They came out with less than stellar earnings, shit happens. One quarterly earnings disappointment isn't going to change shit as far as the landscape of the company goes. Trim the fat? Maybe. Long term changes? Child please.

Haze 01-27-2011 12:23 PM

It is still a little ways away from it's lowest share price, which was around $7.30.
