DDP Hosting the Best of WCW Nitro DVD...
 

So Diamond Dallas Page says he's hosting the best of WCW Nitro DVD... when I saw the headline "Who will host" I assumed it would be Mean Gene... but now I'm intrigued.

I totally dig DDP and everything he did, so it'll be interesting to hear how he goes about this... if this is in fact true...

So what do you all think of DDP hosting the Best of WCW Nitro DVD? Or just DDP in general....

I wish this was a 6 DVD set, but it will prob be 3 with two years on one DVD

I wish they would release more than 1 Best Of Nitro DVD...as they planned, it was originally going to be best of 95-96 at first and the rest supposedly after but still looking forward to it.

That's awesome!! DDP is a favorite of mine and it's good that they were able to get somebody that actually was a franchise player for WCW during the entire run of Nitro. The only thing that bothers me is we probably won't get any matches featuring him and Chris Benoit like that tag match in 1998 where DDP teamed with Benoit to face Raven and Saturn. One of my favorite matches in 1999 was DDP, Flair, Piper, and Kanyon vs. Benoit, Malenko, Saturn, and Bagwell. It was a great match and helped to establish Benoit's team as they put them over that night. That match definitely won't be on it. I am excited for this DVD, but there won't be any Benoit involvement which means alot of good matches like some of the best of 7 matches won't be on there either. I know there's one on the Monday Night Wars DVD but stil.

wonder if they will put him in the hall of fame this year, since they let him do this.

I've always had a soft spot for DDP. He started out as a manager and worked his ass off to get where he got. Great on the mic, put on good matches and seemed to enjoy wrestling. I heard he took a 50 percent buyout of his WCW contract to come to the WWE. That says a lot about the guy. Seems like a good person.

Hope he gets inducted and we get a DDP dvd finally.

Yeah, DDP was also one of my favorites. After three years as a manager, started wrestling at age 35 and working his way up...he's earned a lot of respect for his hard work ethic. Maybe someday, I would like to see him reunite with Badd Company (Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka), because those three together were awesome.

I bet you the Last Nitro will be on this.

Badd Company is a horribly under-rated tag team.
