WWE Signs Mistico?
From PWInsider:
The Mexican press, specifically Super Luchas magazin are reporting that Lucha star Mistico has signed with WWE. Mistico had a tryout with the company last year and impressed. He's been one of the top stars for CMLL in recent years. |
Yeah, read this elsewhere earlier. We'll see how he does if it's true, he's good from what I've seen but he'll need to adapt a bit and he'll need a bit of luck/'some friends' since he's Rey-small, wears a mask etc.
|
I was reading about Mistico and his talks with the WWE in a magazine today.
I didn't buy the magazine, I just read the Mistico article in the shop. |
Well i guess we now know another of the 6 "surprise" rumble entrants.
|
Good luck to Mistico. I've heard a lot of positive things about him, and there's not even that many jokes about this in the comments section of 411Mania.com.
|
Hasnt he been reported to have signed a few times already, or do i have him mixed up with someone else?
|
if its not Super Porky, then it's not note worthy

Seems like Mysterio with better knees. Which is a good thing.

I haven't seen much of Mistico, but what I have seen is pretty impressive. The Rey Mysterio comparisons are pretty obvious, but honestly, that's a good thing. He's like '96-'98 Rey, back when he was one of the most genuinely exciting wrestlers on the roster, only now with an updated moveset.
I hope Mistico gets over; it's high time someone inherits Rey's spot as the premiere luchadore in the US. |
Yeah, my gut reaction is that Mysterio introduces Mistico to the audience. They team up, have some matches together, etc. and Mistico eventually replaces Rey once he hangs 'em up (which should be fairly soon).

Anything that gets Rey off my TV is a good thing.
|
Yeah because it's not like Rey Mysterio is one of the very best performers on earth or anything.
