Okay, first off, I'm not ragging on Cena to rag on Cena and I'm hoping this thread doesn't turn into a "I Hate Cena" thread but is it just me or does John Cena's promos always sound immature like it's a 13 year old writing them.

I mean calling CM Punk CM Sucks seems so unoriginal, lame and juvenille. Is there not something else better he could have come up with?

Also, when he interupted Miz vs Edge on Raw this past week, and kept telling Miz he was cheering him on. It just felt weak. That's something I used to do when I was 15.

Is it because he's the poster boy for the WWE and with the product being PG he has to cater to the younger audience? I know John Cena is a smart guy and a great improviser, so why not better promos with better promos with better insults?

Is it moreso the WWE product that is leading him to go this way for his promos? Is he just playing the part?

I don't know, I know he could be so much better if he wasn't always playing towards the PG rating. Or maybe he is just that way nd can't think of anything smart to say so relies on making fun of his opponents with juvenille remarks.

What do you think? Is it just me?

Cena was really saying "Cena" Sucks. The monkeys in the production truck had to dub over it. Even Cena thinks he sucks

Of course he's playing to the children. Why the fuck wouldn't he?

Also, he mentions the PG rating more than anyone else on camera, so some of it is probably him just dicking around to piss people like you off.

He's much better than his written promos indicate.

I will admit, I laughed when he disqualified Wade and CM Punk for excessive language, but yea its just him playing to the kids with a little 4th wall breaking.

Cena is the best there is.

Laughed? I almost threw something at my tv it was so stupid, lame and anti-climatic. Cena fucked us out of a match we wanted to see. :rant:

John Cena is a clown. When the kids grow up a little bit and realize that the WWE will be alot better. These Cena fans are going to become the biggest Cena haters in about 4 years because they were duped by him. Hustle, loyality and respect. Wash that shit down with saying your prayers and taking your vitamins and you're gonna have a bitter after taste in your mouth.

There are a lot of things about Cena I dislike.
I dislike the booking of the matches, I dislike the promos he's given, and I dislike most of Cenas storylines -because you know their gonna end with "OMG Cena just AA'd the Big Show and Khali AND Mark Henry at the same time!"

It's not like Cena is bad at what he does though. He just knows how to cater to his crowd (including the haters to be honest).
We also know he can do better than CM Sucks and all that - he has quite a comedic talent, it's just mostly hiding.
I remember when he hugged the 'I hate Cena'-guy. That was funny stuff...

If Cena was able to pull this off every time he was on TV he could capture the younger and old generations together.
