Have you guys heard about Mike Adamle?

ChicagoBusiness.com is reporting more bad news for former WWE announcer and RAW GM Mike Adamle. Mike Adamle’s home in Evanston, Illinois is being foreclosed after he and his wife failed to pay off a $1.1 million loan that matured this past August.

This comes after Adamle’s wife divorced him last May and this past December, the IRS filed a lien against them for non-payment of $70,808 in taxes from 2008 and 2009. Last month, Adamle was arrested for DUI. What a loser.

Slippery slope for Iron Man Adamle. I feel for the guy.

Don't know if that's your doing or not, but was the "What a loser" really necessary? Why kick a man when he's down?

Providence Peep 02-06-2011 10:16 AM

A guy who chooses to operate an automobile while he's intoxicated, putting the lives of other people at risk (not to mention his own life) is not a loser?

Xero 02-06-2011 10:22 AM

Automobile.

Droford 02-06-2011 10:42 AM

I would have figured those American Gladiators royalty checks would be enough to let the guy live comfortably for the rest of his life.

itsmeJD 02-06-2011 10:44 AM

I believe he did all of this ALLEGEDLY. Innocent until proven guilty. Regardless this doesn't qualify you to be a "loser". He would be classified a "loser" because he is losing his home. Regardless it is a very sad situation and hopefully he and Jeff Harvey can get their shit straight and get their lives back in order.

That bastard Larry Csonka was probably a better negotiator. Haven't seen him do much of anything SINCE American Gladiators.

Are you calling Jin from Lost a loser?

Csonka was only on for like 3 years, Adamle did the entire run of like 7 years.

I bet he was pissed they didnt ask him to host the 2008 failure.

TheAdamEvansFan 02-06-2011 10:56 AM

Mike Adamle is the sports guy on NBC Chicago.

He has plenty of money, somewhere.

This is true, hence it looks like Csonka got a helluva deal there. I was actually surprised they didn't bring Mike back, wasn't like he was busy or anything. Would have been much better than Hogan and Ali. Also would have been much better had they not even followed through with the idea of a revival.

If this were true, wouldn't he be paying the note on his house and not filling up a UHAUL for the move?

Rammsteinmad 02-06-2011 11:06 AM

Sucks for him. I see this ending in suicide.

That would surely suck. Hopefully he can get shit turned around, but I remember thinking the same thing about Ray Combs. Hopefully NBC Chicago won't fire him, then he'd be jobless, moneyless, divorced, and on the highway to Hangville.

Is there a deadpool tipsters, cause i think you could be right.:(

Droford 02-06-2011 01:41 PM

WWE should feel sorry for him and put him in the Celebrity Wing of the Hall of Fame and have Rico Constantino induct him.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-06-2011 02:13 PM

His blood test results said that he wasn't over the legal limit.

James Steele 02-06-2011 02:31 PM

Hopefully, this means he will be revealed as the Anonymous RAW General Manager.

thedamndest 02-06-2011 03:26 PM

You can't help but feel bad when a man's 1.1 million dollar home is taken from him.

That part is unfortunate, yes, but a lot of people are having financial troubles - not just him. These are the days of Obamanomics.

He's untouchable but he's forcing you to feel him....:shifty:

Lara Emily 02-06-2011 07:26 PM

Did you just blame Obama for a rich guy losing his expensive home really?

In a crazy twisted way, I would actually like that.

How nice that Providence Peep can look down on us all, from his ivory tower.

MoFo 02-06-2011 07:45 PM

I liked Adamle.

Made for some excellent Botchmania quotes.

I'm pointing out that, while any given President of the United States does not control or create the economy, what he does certainly affects it. I'm pointing out that any given President of the United States affects the economy in so many ways - from running the executive agencies which supervise and regulate American business, to deciding how much profit can be gleaned from the nation's natural resources, to negotiating trade agreements with foreign nations, to inspiring investor confidence or lack thereof - that it's impossible to name them all. And I'm pointing out that any given President of the United States certainly does help to create a fertile field for the economy to grow, or helps to cause it to languish and wither.

Educated American voters are becoming more and more disenchanted with Barack Obama's work on the stalled economy, and much of what he's doing or not doing is, in fact, hurting (or at least not helping) the economy - which, in turn, is leading to more and more economoic hardship.

What leads you to think that I'm looking down on all of you? I called Mike Adamle a loser because only a loser would put the lives of other people at risk by driving while under the influence. I can't believe some of you don't see the problem with that type of criminal and life-threatening behavior.

And for those of you saying Adamle is "innocent," you need to check your facts. The Chicago Sun Times reported that a cop pulled him over after Adamle failed to observe a flashing red stoplight, and Adamle agreed to a Breathalyzer test at the scene. The officer arrested Adamle “based on his belief that he couldn’t follow instructions and also because his balance was unsteady during” field sobriety tests, Evanston, Illinois Police Chief Richard Eddington said, and he explained that the tests "gave officers probable cause to think Adamle was under the influence of a substance under than alcohol." That certainly doesn't sound like someone who is innocent.

Fignuts 02-06-2011 09:54 PM

It makes him a human being who made a mistake. A mistake that could have drastic consequences, but a mistake no less.

If he has multiple DUIs then I would say he is a loser, but I am not going to judge someone for one mistake.

thedamndest 02-06-2011 10:41 PM

What part of Obamanomics forces a man not to pay his taxes?

The Naitch 02-08-2011 02:50 PM

Adamle reminds me of Chael Sonnen now

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-08-2011 02:53 PM

The housing crises started under Bush, so how do you really blame it on Obama Peep? Pure delusion? Survey says: number one answer!

We would have also accepted

2. Head up your ass.
3. Republican revisionist history.
4. Trying to impress deathtotheswiss.
5. the water in Rhode Island.

Peep what color is the sky in your world?

Wasn't he found to be under the legal limit though? I thought I read that.

Just saw him on the NBC 5 news in Chicago, so those hoping he would keep his job, he is still there, butchering Chicago Sports
