Its fairly laid back and good to play if you've never played fantasy baseball before.

There's a part of me that would like to, but man I really disliked FBB when I played it in high school. Also kind of prefer the lack of time commitment when playing FFB.

At least I remember having to change my lineup a lot.

I've normally been in three leagues each year, but in the last couple years I've found myself not caring as much about one of the three so I think I'll just do two this year. I've been in Dave Wadding's league almost every year so I'll continue with that one (and maybe win it for once :mad:). Then run a league for money with my friends from home like I usually do every year.

Wow. Yahoo finally has made 1 win 1 loss an option for baseball leagues. I just changed the league I commission every year to this.

So sick of seasons with records like 100-45-23 or whatever.

<font color=goldenrod>Since most of these leagues tend to have the same people in them every year - would anybody be interested in trying out a Keeper League? Yahoo added it as a new feature apparently.

Adds a new dimension to the draft and such. You could draft Strasburg or somebody and eat a spot on your roster all year by stashing him on the DL and keeping him for 2012. Pretty sure keeper leagues also have a shitload of prospects who haven't made the bigs yet.

Pretty sure the standard number is 5 in terms of guys you're allowed to keep. Makes the next year's draft slightly less fun but still a ton of strategy.</font>

I won't be signing up for any baseball leagues this year. I didn't contribute to the league much last season and I doubt I would this season either. So I'll move aside for somebody else.

Just make it a divisions league and we can have like a shitton of people in it.

It took me a few tries to sign up since I didn't know how to spell "steriods".

I've done the auto send invites to those that played last year.

...how does this work?

You have $200. You have to draft a whole team of real players (9 batters, 8 pitchers, 5 bench players) with that amount of money.

That's just the draft process.

The game's innovation was that "owners" in a Rotisserie league would draft teams from the list of active Major League Baseball players and would follow their statistics "during the ongoing season" to compile their scores. In other words, rather than using statistics for seasons whose outcomes were already known, the owners would have to make similar predictions about players' playing time, health, and expected performance that real baseball managers must make.
