Well actually, "petty" is subjective. Once the kid's identity is found out, and it will be eventually, he could be charged with harassment, trespassing, disturbing the peace and a large number of other criminal charges. That's the law. Maybe then the kid (who had nothing better to do?) will learn a lesson.
