Blood

I was just wondering how do the wrestlers make themselves bleed? It baffles me.

Rob 04-26-2004 06:59 PM

Blades. They cut themselves at hidden spots.

Either that or it's hardway (a real shot opening them up).

Xero 04-26-2004 06:59 PM

They "Blade"... They take razor blades that they hide in their wrist bands/boots/on the ring post and use them to cut themselves... Sometimes the refs give it to them...

Once in a while someone will be busted open legit, the "hard way"...

Edit: Rob beat me :shifty:

thanks :y:

What kind of blades do they use? like shaver blades? I wanna have a go :)

Shaggy 04-27-2004 06:44 PM

I believe they use Razor blades that are usually hidden in there tape around there hands. Or hidden in the turnbuckle. Most of the time one of the wrestlers has it or the ref does. If you look close in some matches you can see the ref hand it to him. That is always pretty funny to see.

Sometimes they'll have a tube of fake blood running from their hair into the back of their shirt ie. Vince Mcmahon, Survivor Series 03.

Disturbed316 04-27-2004 07:53 PM

Check out Austin vs Kane at the King of the Ring 98 for a really obvious blade job, you can see him cutting his head really clearly.

Team Sheep 04-28-2004 06:18 PM

so, do they just slice it across their forehead or whatever or do they dig a whole into the skin with the blade? I don't wanna sound like a sicko or anything, I'm just curious how they do it.

Disturbed316 04-28-2004 06:21 PM

It depends on the amount they want I guess, the more they want, the deeper they cut :-\

If you see pictures of New Jacks forehead, you can see how deep he has bladed himself, its quite sick.

Disturbed316 04-28-2004 06:26 PM

Its not really clear in this picture, but you can tell its really mashed up. Its aparantly stopped him from getting acting jobs because its so bad.

Team Sheep 04-28-2004 06:33 PM

ooh shit that's nasty. This has all surprised me because I always thought they just used blood packs or something. It can be pretty dangerous I guess if you do it very wrong and you loose a dangerous amount of blood or if you strike a vein.

Xero 04-28-2004 07:08 PM

Anyone ever seen the Mass Transit Incident? It is some sick shit... His forehead literally gushes blood...

Yeah man the Mass Transit Incident was a fu</>cked up situation not just the blade job but the whole story. Crazy shit. You all know what I'm talkin' about, right?

Disturbed316 04-30-2004 12:33 PM

You mean him going to Heyman and asking for a match, saying he had loads of training etc and for then to turn out he didnt?

SuperSlim 04-30-2004 12:39 PM

oh man I remember that... that was sick. majorly sick. speakin of which... I'm just wonderin as far as WM XX goes... what in the world happened to Shawn when Benoit sent him to the post via catapult.

I have yet to completely figure that out to be legit or blade and if legit then how could it have been legit? I mean the blood just gushed out like a runnin faucet.

Disturbed316 04-30-2004 12:42 PM

I think it was bladed, but was done really deeply to produce more blood.

Team Sheep 04-30-2004 02:07 PM

Disturbed316 04-30-2004 06:21 PM

Yeah he was only 17 years old and New Jack offered to blade the guy 'cause he didn't know how. During the match, New Jack took an Xacto knife in stabbed it directly into the guy's head. It was quite disturbing. To make it worse, after Jack bladed the guy he climbed the top rope with a chair and dove at Mass Transit and smashed the chair right into his head which was already covered in blood. Then from there there's some gross close-ups. It's almost surreal, man, really. Mass Transit (whose real name is Eric Kulas) sadly passed away on Tuesday May 14, 2002. According to Dave Meltzer Eric Kulas was unwillingly sliced open by New Jack but I have always heard that Kulas knew New Jack was gonna blade him. But that's pretty much what happened. Just goes to show how sometimes in wrestling fu</>cked up shit happens in both the indies and top feds. That's just how it goes. The "Mass Transit Incident" will go down as one of ECW's most infamous moments.
