Clean Heel Victories (Over top guys)

Rare stuff. Clean meaning no chairshots/interference or anything like that. If it's no DQ, it's a little different. But no interference, most people call that clean. Nothing that tarnishes the finish.

HHH over Austin 2/3 falls
Rock over Austin WM19
Sheamus over Cena (Sort of) in table match

Anyone got anymore? Something got me to trying to recall some of them in another thread. Were they good matches? Got any youtubes? Do you think WWE needs more meaningful heel victories so they can stop being pussies?

I wonder if they'll ever move past the cowardly approach most heels tend to take on, or if it is truly necessary to establish them as a heel because making them have balls might get them over too much as a face.

Everything is legal in a fatal 4-way and so I present:

Fucking WWE blocked the finish on youtube.

M-A-G 03-28-2011 02:18 PM

A heel isn't necessarily supposed to win cleanly. He's supposed to be this dispicable a-hole that convinces fans to pay to see the face kick his ass. Jobber squashes are fine, sure, but in general it's rare in big situations because it's not supposed to happen in big situations.

Rock Bottom 03-28-2011 02:21 PM

I totally forgot about Lesnar over Rock also.

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WTbJi8znRNQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Good fan response for Lesnar in that match. They did great. Too bad Lesnar didn't stick around, I liked that guy, whether or not he's a dick or bounced off his neck in that botched move.

VSG 03-28-2011 02:30 PM

lol I just realized Vinny Mac screwed The Rock in 2 successive Wrestlemania's.

seapig4 03-28-2011 02:41 PM

Didn't Orton go over Benoit clean at summerslam?

GD 03-28-2011 02:46 PM

Randy Orton versus Jeff Hardy - Champion versus Champion match for the WWE title at the 2008 Royal Rumble.

Lock Jaw 03-28-2011 03:06 PM

HHH used to win clean all the time as a heel (over top guys).

Kurt Angle too.

legendkillerRKO 03-28-2011 03:34 PM

Whats the definition of clean? This match had a ref bump but Orton did nothing against the rules to win....

plus CM Punk won clean in the cage match over Hardy to end Hardy in WWE and didn't Del Rio beat Mysterio clean in his debut match?

thedamndest 03-28-2011 04:04 PM

I don't really consider gimmick match finishes clean. Really there isn't a difference between a pinfall after use of a cage compared to pinfall after use of a chair.

Supreme Olajuwon 03-28-2011 04:18 PM

Kozlov beat the Undertaker clean off of a powerslam.

PorkSoda 03-28-2011 04:33 PM

Great Khali beat Undertaker clean with a weak BOOT to the face at Judgment Day.

Also, Kenny Dykstra beat Ric Flair with a rollup on RAW one time.

Emperor Smeat 03-28-2011 05:04 PM

Hogan beat Kevin Nash during the Finger Poke of Doom although Nash might have been a heel as well.

Fox 03-28-2011 05:56 PM

Triple H beat Cactus Jack clean at Royal Rumble 00 and No Way Out 00 both for the WWF title before beating him clean again at WM2000.

Corndad 03-28-2011 05:59 PM

Kurt Angle over HBK at WM 21

MoFo 03-28-2011 06:43 PM

Kurt Angle made Hogan tap.

Didn't HHH pedegree Cactus onto thumbtacks at the Rumble? I don't think thats a clean win

XL 03-29-2011 05:27 AM

And backdropped him through the Cell at NWO.

The Pope 03-29-2011 12:25 PM

Orton vs Benoit Summerslam for Orton's first Heavyweight title reign.

I think it depends on the heel. If they're sneaky, conniving and basically a douche, their clean wins should be far and few between. But if they're just a bad ass monster, like Kane or Sheamus, there's no reason they shouldn't be seen as dominating.

I pretty much agree, highly depends on the match and the circumstance.

Rock Bottom 03-29-2011 10:31 PM

Orton vs. who?

Rock Bottom 03-29-2011 10:32 PM

Khali and Kozlov seriously went clean over Taker? rofl

Team Sheep 03-29-2011 10:47 PM

Khali beat Cena at a Saturday Night's Main Event.

Kane beat Rey in 2006

Mark Henry beat Rey in 2006

Khali beat Rey in 2006

I'm pretty sure The Rock tapped out to Benoit on a Smackdown in 2002.

Rock Bottom 03-30-2011 03:14 AM

You're right, he did tap. Benoit also got HHH to tap although that finish was a hell of a lot more epic than that tag match. Man, I really miss Benoit, why did he go apeshit and destroy his family. I wonder what WWE would be like right now with him still around. Probably not much different, but I'd look forward to a lot more matches than I do now.

Team Sheep 03-30-2011 09:55 AM

I bet a lot of Wrestlemanias would have been a hell of a lot better if Benoit, Eddie and Angle had still been around the past 5 years.

Yeah, but it was a New York Street Fight and it was Cactus Jack who brought out the thumbtacks in the first place. In accordance to the rules of the match, HHH beat Cactus clean.

Same goes for the HIAC match. In accordance to the rules of the match (no DQ, no count out, nothing that says you can't throw someone through the roof of the cell), Hunter won clean.

I would also like to add Randy Orton beating Foley at Backlash 2004, which is an amazing match. Again, it was No Holds Barred and Orton won with an RKO onto a barbed wire bat, but he never broke the rules, Foley brought the bat out in the first place, and it was a CLEAN win.

Team Sheep 03-30-2011 11:22 AM

Didn't Kennedy beat Michaels clean on Raw once? He may have hold of the rope though, I'm not sure.
