Who's Buying Wrestlemania?

Don't know whether to get the PPV or get it off bit torrent on Monday.

Cool King 03-28-2011 06:03 PM

Usually I watch all the WWE stuff via streams but as it's WrestleMania, I want to actually watch it on my TV. So I'll hopefully be buying it.

I just need to find a cable provider first, then I'll be set. I'm hoping to get some sort of trial period from either Virgin Media or Sky, then cancel it or something after WrestleMania, as I'm a poor student who doesn't really have the money for a luxury like cable. :(

#BROKEN Hasney 03-28-2011 06:10 PM

Nah, I actually took the Monday off to watch it, but I'm not feeling the card.

I miss MITB already :'(

I've got Virgin Media, I don't think you need any package to get the ppv channel.

Londoner 03-28-2011 06:25 PM

Me. Can't wait.

Xero 03-28-2011 06:36 PM

I buy Rumble and Mania no matter what, so yes.

But really, I'm excited for the card for the most part. It's pretty great top to bottom, even if the builds (barring a few exceptions) have been sub-par. A lot of matches and angles I'm really looking forward to. Can't really say that about the past few years, which have been all about Taker/Michaels for me.

Tazz Dan 03-28-2011 07:01 PM

I'm the same as Xero, I always purchase those two. My only issue is we get Raw, Smackdown, NXT and Superstars here in HD, but not the PPV's.

Corndad 03-28-2011 07:03 PM

Get it and usually Rumble every year. Have a few people over and split the cost and stuff. Normally a really good time.

Lock Jaw 03-28-2011 07:14 PM

You'd think they'd give the Anonymous Raw General Manager PPVs for free, but they don't... so I will be watching (hopefully) on a stream.... IN PROTEST.

jskinnyg 03-28-2011 07:25 PM

Buyin' it and having a WM 27 bash at the house since I have been in Mexico for the last 6 Wm's... Gonna be a good one kids...

Heisenberg 03-28-2011 07:28 PM

I'm buying it and having some friends over. The Rock appearing pretty much sealed it for me.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-28-2011 07:35 PM

Just bought about it, I've only watched one Wrestlemania while it was on live.

I bitched about The Rock V Hogan being boring on a video game forum.

One Eight Sven 03-28-2011 07:45 PM

How much is it this year?

Droford 03-28-2011 07:47 PM

75 bucks for HD on directv...

uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh

Londoner 03-28-2011 07:48 PM

£15 over here in the UK. :)

Droford 03-28-2011 07:50 PM

Oh and I forgot, the lousy state of MD charges tax on live PPV events so thats another 4 bucks.

80 bucks. Holy fuck.

Londoner 03-28-2011 07:54 PM

That's just stupid.

LuigiD 03-28-2011 08:07 PM

I can't afford it right now. I might go see it at a local bar or something.

ClockShot 03-28-2011 08:10 PM

Cable bill is way to expensive right now. I'll just wait and read the results monday morning.

Corndad 03-28-2011 08:25 PM

80 bucks? really? Wow. $54.95 here.

VSG 03-28-2011 08:32 PM

For HD? It is $64.95 for HD here, and $54.95 for HQ.

Tazz Dan 03-28-2011 08:35 PM

$34.95 in Australia atm, which would be about $46 in America with the current dollar.... ;)

VSG 03-28-2011 08:37 PM

It should also be like late Monday morning to you guys right? Not something like 3 am or so?

JimmyMess 03-28-2011 08:41 PM

I will most certainly be watching/buying. As soon as I saw The Rock walk out it sold me on buying it.

Called up some buddies, and they are down to watch, even though they haven't watched wrestling since we were kids (2001ish). Going to be fun!

dronepool 03-28-2011 08:52 PM

Streaming it, hopefully.

MoFo 03-28-2011 08:56 PM

Dont really care that much for most of the card, but its Wrestlemania so I'm sure they'll make it great somehow.

Yeah I'll watch, wanna see King/Cole & the off chance of a Cena/Rock clash :D

dhellova guy 03-28-2011 08:57 PM

Going. Nose bleed seats, but i'll be there.

Wow sounds expensive for an international market.

I'll be ordering. Can't wait. You guys are making £15 sound like a bargain.

St. Jimmy 03-29-2011 01:28 AM

Watching it at the bar like I watch all WWE ppv's. Best 4 Bucks ever.

cardsharkrob 03-29-2011 02:48 AM

I usually just wait and buy it on dvd a month later for 20 dollars. Though hopefully the site i go to will have it up a couple days afer to watch for free.

James Steele 03-29-2011 04:00 AM

Going over to a friend's house and have our 2nd Annual WrestleMania Blowout.

seapig4 03-29-2011 04:51 AM

I'm gonna buy It. £15 is a fucking steal compared to what you guys have to pay, however I'd love to watch it in a bar but I don't know any bars that are even open at 1am on a monday morning.

HBPunk 03-29-2011 05:02 AM

I order every PPV, its only 20 euro once a month ffs. Gonna watch it with some fat fucking spliffs on my 37 inch flatscreen cock tv, awww yeah

DaVe 03-29-2011 05:40 AM

Yeah, I'd guess around 11am.

Gonna take the day off for it.

Londoner 03-29-2011 08:00 AM

I'm not sure why people keep saying the card doesn't look great. There aren't any matches i'm not looking forward to except the Vickie/Trish tag match. Yeah i know who that match is meant to revolve around but i ain't fuckin sayin her(or its) name!

Nicky Fives 03-29-2011 09:06 AM

Streaming live on Sunday, then torrented by Tuesday.....

University is doing a Wrestlemania night but I think I'll watch it at home rather than around a load of drunk people where I can't see or hear anything.

Furious Beardsley 03-29-2011 10:44 AM

Me and Jimmy Cones are chipping in and buying it, just like we do every year, for WM and the RR

theregulator 03-29-2011 12:48 PM

Im buying it.

Jordan 03-29-2011 12:50 PM

This is my debate.... Go to a party with a bunch of people I don't know with minimal girls, and even if there were hot girls it would be a disctraction, wrestling is something I watch only by myself or with select people that know me and like wrestling as much as I do, or girlfriends when I try to make them watch with me.

If I order it on cable, it's super expensive, I could split it with somebody, but its still 45 bucks and I don't really like the person.

I could try to watch a stream but the chances of that working out 100% are minimal, and more than likley it would ruin Wrestlemania for me, due to not being able to enjoy the matches. This happened once before, I guess last year, so I have a weak opinion of Shawn Michaels last match because the stream was lagging.

Or I could stay spoiler free, which will be hard unless I am doing something all night Sunday, take work off on Monday and download the show and have an 8 hour day of wrestling, which could be cool but a lot of watching.

WHATS THE BEST CHOICE?
