Synopsis: The Greatest Stars of the New Millennium profiles 15 superstars that dominated the ring for the first decade of the 2000s. Each star is profiled and one of his greatest matches is included. Stars examined will include John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge, Chris Jericho, Batista, and more.

--

Discuss what you'd like to see on the DVD, from superstars to matches to segments.

You'd think Mysterio and HBK would be on it but I'm surprised they weren't mentioned by name. Gotta figure Eddie will be on there too. Angle has to be on there but I wouldn't be shocked if he's not or at least gets very little fanfare.

Cena, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kane, Jericho, Punk, Edge, HBK, Batista, Angle, Orton, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, The Rock, Christian

Unless there is someone extraordinary on this DVD, there is nothing here that really appeals to me.

I totally agree with you there, dude.

Same. Bit of a pointless 'we've run out of ideas' DVD this is.

would you buy a "feuds" dvd? I mean something like the hogan/sting 97. Have a timeline of the feud from on screen inception all the way to the post interview and include all the promo's and build up.

Shawn/Bret would be good as well.

Londoner 05-03-2011 02:39 PM

Not sure on that one. Maybe.

Gertner 05-03-2011 05:53 PM

This DVD would be a cool idea ten years from now. I can see what the WWE's idea is. They have alot of young fans who probably weren't around between the years 2000-2005 so it'd be new to them.

Schlomey 05-06-2011 03:38 PM

should be a "lets help WWE come up with actual good ideas for DVDs" thread.

Yeah, but tbf they've practially done everything.

Schlomey 05-06-2011 11:22 PM

They have thousands of hours of library footage they either have on their own or purchased over the years. I'm SURE there are some things we haven't tapped in to.

I like the concept, but I'd prefer to see the influence of these stars talked about a bit more. These are the Superstars I would go with, personally:

1. The Rock (vs. Triple H at Backlash 2000)
2. Triple H (vs. Cactus Jack in the Hell in a Cell)
3. Kurt Angle (vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XIX)
4. Stone Cold Steve Austin (vs. The Rock at WrestleMania X-7)
5. Chris Jericho (the Ladder Match where he defeated Shawn Michaels at his own game)
6. Shawn Michaels (vs. Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XIX)
7. The Undertaker (vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXV)
8. Brock Lesnar (vs. The Rock at SummerSlam 2002)
9. Eddie Guerrero (vs. Brock Lesnar at No Way Out 2004)
10. Randy Orton (vs. Mick Foley at Backlash 2004)
11. Batista (vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 21)
12. John Cena (vs. Shawn Michaels from RAW)
13. Edge (vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXIV)
14. Rey Mysterio (vs. Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania 21)
15. CM Punk (vs. Jeff Hardy, the Steel Cage Match that ex-communicated Jeff Hardy from the WWE)

I've got a few ideas that I haven't seen them do:

- Greatest United States Championship Matches
- Greatest Television Championship Matches
- The New World Order Legacy (multi-disc set featuring all of their biggest matches, storylines, moments, incarnations, etc)
- Greatest ECW Matches in History (including NONE of the matches from the WWE's ECW-lite)
- The Streak: All of Undertaker's WrestleMania matches, including interviews with his opponents of years past, etc
- Sting: Ultimate Collection DVD (though they probably won't do this until he's done with TNA)
- Best of WCW Cruiserweight Title Matches (there are dozens and dozens of unsung CW title matches throughout history, on PPV's, Nitros, Thunders, maybe even Saturday Night shows, that deserve to be collected)

I'm sure I could think of more, but those are just off the top of my head.

How about The Essential NWA/WCW Great American Bash collection

they've done a Starrcade set so why not Great American Bash

Good ideas, not sure they'd interest me personally.

History of the AWA World Heavyweight championship

they've done sets for the WWE and NWA world title so why not AWA
