Would you still like to see Edge active on TV?

Would you guys like to see Edge still stay active on TV, by Christian's side during his entire run, or should he just let Christian do it all by himself? Do you think it "tarnishes" Christian's run as champion to have Edge by his side the whole time?

We may not get to ever see Edge wrestle again, but I think it'd be nice to still have him on TV. E&C should still live on!

Londoner 05-03-2011 02:43 PM

Let Christian be on his own now. Deserves it.

Anybody Thrilla 05-03-2011 02:44 PM

At last, he's on his own.

agreed

Edge left at the right time, IMO. He'd been pretty awful for a while (Kane feud).

Lock Jaw 05-03-2011 02:47 PM

Yeah, it was a nice moment for Edge to be there when he won it (and I am glad Edge did not have a more active role in the win), but now it is time to let Christian stand on his own.

Rammsteinmad 05-03-2011 02:53 PM

What LJ said.

Keep having that going round my head at times when reading something about Christian. Loved that theme.

RiX1024 05-03-2011 04:40 PM

Let him enjoy his retirement and not ruin his legacy. Christian will fare better on his own.

The Naitch 05-03-2011 04:49 PM

I hope he re-invents himself a little bit too, not just be the same old Christian just this time with a belt

ClockShot 05-03-2011 04:49 PM

The boy needs to get his sea legs. ECW title was one thing.................or not. WHC is a whole different ball game.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-03-2011 04:50 PM

Edge said something about buying a house in North Carolina and wanting to start a life for himself there with his girlfriend.

The guy has been through enough turmoil both professional and personal that I think it's time for him to be allowed to have a happy ending with somebody he cares about. There weren't any children from his other relationships so he doesn't have any sort of personal baggage weighing him down like that.

I hope he enjoys being out of the spotlight and can finally settle down and have a real family if he chooses to. It might have happened a little bit sooner than he expected it to, but only by like a year or so as he was saying he had plans to retire at next year's WrestleMania if it was in Toronto.

It's time for Christian to be truly on his own as his first single's music post E+C said.

Nicky Fives 05-03-2011 05:01 PM

If anything, he should come back on commentary or as a GM..... not a manager or anything like that.....

The Naitch 05-03-2011 05:07 PM

Still gotta travel and shit even if you're the GM or announcing. He probably doesn't think it's worth it

Tazz Dan 05-03-2011 05:07 PM

Yeah I'd like to see him active still. Even if it's on Raw away from Christian, like people have said, it's his time to shine now.

Also, he wouldn't be a manager at all. I was thinking more on the lines of Triple H being by Michael's side 1997 early DX era

I think it's pretty obvious he didn't want to retire. I'm sure being able to continue doing what you love would make it worth it, even if it was in a different role.

The Naitch 05-03-2011 05:12 PM

I think people are all getting "sad" that Edge is gone like we won't see him ever again, but I think they got it all wrong. We can still have him on TV, his presence will always be there, he just can't wrestle.

I wanna see him on TV still, but I don't know what WWE's policy is about retired wrestlers (due to injury). Do they have to be off TV or what?

Aguakate 05-03-2011 05:14 PM

...the only time Edge was over with the fans, in terms of being a good guy and the fans actually cheering for him and liking him, was on the nights he announced his retirement.

I love the idea of Matt Hardy shoot-going psycho on his latest mint girlfriend

...and locking her away Randy Savage/Liz style because of this

St. Jimmy 05-03-2011 05:57 PM

On the booth maybe, but he needs to live his life. It's going to be hard.

I'm pretty sure he had to shit before.

I wonder if you have infected the majority of this board with your numbskull posts or there is just an influx of children to TPWW. You clearly do not know what you are talking about, this is not an opinion, you are wrong.

...Lemme go a step further...

...Edge SUCKS, alright?

CSL 05-03-2011 06:15 PM

You're still quite obviously wrong.

That video is irrelevant. If the song was called 'I May Be Wrong (No Actually, Wait A Minute Guys, Turns Out I Definitely Am. Lol Whoops)' then fair enough.

...go ahead and make it, based on your opinion of Edge.

CSL 05-03-2011 06:24 PM

...that is clearly never going to happen Aguakate...

...maybe Flo Rida could do it...

loopydate 05-03-2011 06:25 PM

Aguakate being stupid completely buried my joke...

:'(

Gertner 05-03-2011 06:34 PM

Edge being by Christian's side is the only way Christian will get over as a champ.

Sycophant 05-03-2011 06:42 PM

I think eventually Edge will be a great commentator, but I also love the idea of the monster pops that Edge would get if he just came back every so often to do something.

XCaliber 05-03-2011 06:48 PM

I'd rather see him as a manager than a commentator he's good on mic surely he'd be an improvement over a guy like Booker T but not golden like a CM Punk either.

Gertner 05-03-2011 07:38 PM

I'd kill to see Kevin Nash on commentary. He was hilarious in WCW.

Rock Bottom 05-04-2011 12:25 AM

Edge is going to cut his hair.

Shisen Kopf 05-04-2011 08:02 PM

Everyone knows rasslin is fake. edge is faking it
