Best of The Decade
 

I'm a big fan of the wrestling roundtable, don't know if any of you are familiar or not. Anyway on show once they had a discussion on who they thought was the wrestler of the decade 2000-2009, and which match was match of the decade.

Match wise, I have to go with Hogan vs Rock at Mania 18. I've been a fan since 92 and I've never seen a match that kept people's attention from bell to bell like that one.

As far as wrestler of the decade. Being the Hogan fan I am, I wanna say Hulk himself, however Hogan was out of wrestling more than he was in wrestling during the last decade so to be fair I think I would have to go with Triple H. He's been on top except for time out for injuries since 2000 and like him or hate him, he does put on a good show.

So who do you guys think is Wrestler of the decade and which match would you choose?

I guess it would almost have to be Triple H in terms of consistency, but I feel like there's a better answer.

HHH is the only one consistent and active since 2001, not many other choices out there. The newer batch of Orton, Cena etc began their rise from 2004-2005.

Shawn Michaels without a shadow of a doubt.

Best match would probably be Shawn Michaels vs the Undertaker three WM's ago. Either that Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle at whichever WM they wrestled.

Shawn Michaels. I never was a fan of Hogan/Rock..... mostly because Hogan was terrible in the ring.....

My favorite match of that decade was Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XIX. In a way, it was like a mirror match of sorts.

Why are you describing it like no one has seen it?

To be fair to him, I came into this thread expecting him to have either listed 15 "Best" choices or picked some obscure Japanese guy. So that's progress, right?

I would say Shawn Michaels, the guy is tops with me. Triple H is up next to him, and then as a curve ball I'd put AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, and Bryan Danielson in my top 10... they revolutionized a lot of things in the ring this past decade.

Match of the decade would be either Shawn/Taker at WM 25 or Shawn/Triple H/Benoit at WM 20.
