Challenge For Everyone

Ive been trying to figure this out for a while now, and I still dont have a solid answer for this question:

Is the July PPV (Vengeance) a SD or RAW PPV this year?

Now, I know SD had the July PPV last year, but this year they have a PPV in June (rumoured to be called the Great American Bash). Now this PPV is booked for June 27th in Norfolk, VA. RAW PPV for June is on the 13th (Bad Blood)

The July PPV is listed on wwe.com as being on July 11th, with no location confirmed (I'm sure the location is out there somwhere, but thats not my concern).

It would seem unlikely that they would book another SD PPV only 2 weeks after, so one would think it'll be a RAW PPV, but then does that mean the September PPV is switched to a SD PPV.

Anyway, if anyone has any CREDIBLE information, please pass it along.

PS -- if anyone makes it public that I didn't know something, you will be silenced.

I checked my WrestleMania program, and it has a list of all PPVs w/ which roster will be on it... July is Raw...

Ricky 04-28-2004 07:36 PM

If you stole 91's job as moderator (which some think you should. and where is he anyway?) you actually could just delete people's posts to stop them from saying anything about you.

Loose Cannon 04-28-2004 07:46 PM

who's saying anything bad (I'm assuming it's bad becasue why would you delete good) about CyNick?

I think it's just because we all know the The CyNick is the all knowing wrestling god or something. We wouldn't want that reputation damaged by some noob coming in and pointing out the fact that he overlooked something like this.

Btw damnit, I thought you were Corkscrewed. That's the first time I actually fell for your little trick :p

Loose Cannon 04-28-2004 11:13 PM

I'm really loopydate. Me and Loose Cannon switched are names.

The WWE is experamenting with 2 PPV's a month. They will have 2 in June and 2 in October. The WWE is trying to find ways to maxamize there profits. I don't see it as a bad idea. People used to buy 2 PPV's a month when WCW was still around. I hoping they name the extra October PPV Halloween Havoc.

hmmm that seems pretty credible. And thats what I figured. Cool, thanks!

BTW, does it say what the sept PPV is?

Loose Cannon 04-28-2004 11:47 PM

sorry LC, I just thought they should know since they might be confused.

loopydate 04-28-2004 11:49 PM

Nah, it's all right. I need to get to work on Part Two of "TPWWers Watching Wrestling," anyway.

Innovator 04-29-2004 12:04 AM

ok this "everyone taking corky's avatar" thing is getting confusing

loopydate 04-29-2004 12:04 AM

Hey, loopy, shouldn't you be working on that "24" parody you said you'd write...LIKE THREE MONTHS AGO!!!

AareDub 04-29-2004 12:09 AM

While I have your attention loopy (if that is your real name), you should stop by the official Raw thread more often. This week really sucked in comparison to last week when you were in there.

It was like having the best sex you've ever had on one week. Then the next time your chick comes over you expect it again, but all you get is a hand job :(

Loose Cannon 04-29-2004 12:09 AM

HMMMMM, I forgot about that.

loopydate 04-29-2004 12:10 AM

Yeah, what was up with that, loopy?

This should be good.

Well next week you can give us your roomate's phone # and somebody can call and pretend to be a chick luring him out of the room. That'll fix him.

Give me another six weeks and I'll be back online full time. Probably. :shifty:

Meantime, since the question has been answered, here's a little trivial note I remembered recently - everyone is saying that this June will be the first time the WWE/F have two PPV's (non British, non Fanatic series, nothing like that) in one month, but it's actually the second. One million points and a free beer to anyone who remembers the first.

The Mackem 04-30-2004 12:50 PM

I dunno was it something to do with the millenium?

Sephiroth 04-30-2004 12:54 PM

Dunno, heard they were going to name the new RAW PPV, with the same name as the greatest wrestler of the planet "HHH" :shifty:

Boondock Saint 04-30-2004 03:11 PM

Weren't like...a Wrestlemania and a Backlash both in April a few years back?

Yeah, I believe Mania X-Seven was something like April 1, and then Backlash was at the end of the month (30th or something).

But the difference is that there was no PPV in March that year, so it evened everything out, and it was still the standard 4 weeks between PPvs.

In June we got PPVs 2 weeks apart which is unchartered territory for the WWE. But at the same time, back int he day we had PPVs every two weeks when WCW was still around.

Ricky 04-30-2004 03:54 PM

In 2000 I think Wrestlemania 16 and Backlash were both in April too.
