I'm convinced that this is the perfect matchup for both of these guys. We have essentially two of the more boring fighters, who are extremely talented and skilled at what they do. For me, the boring fights are no big deal. We are witnessing a fighter who completely dominates a fight, and an opponent having no answer for the other fighters game plan. I can appreciate that, and I actually find it sub-entertaining. As long as it's at the highest level of fighting in the sport, I can appreciate any game plan, as it is effective, and that's all that matters....

Anyway, this is absolutely a marquee matchup here. These two fighters are near mirror images of each other, and this should be a great and interesting showcase of skill, strategy, and technique.*Or boring wrestlefucking, depending on how you see it.

Plus, for all you naysayers, it will make sure that these two hands don't get their hands on the "exciting" fighters , and bend them to their will. Lol...

Fitch's fights can be boring but that's just bc of his grinding style..

Well, I will say this. I have a new level of respect for Shields after his last fight. If this match happens meh, I'll check it out

Shields vs Fitch sounds like the most boring fight that anybody could ever possibly assemble. If this fight happened, I would consider searing my eyes out with a fireplace poker.

i think that fight might end up blurring the line between mixed martial arts and gay pornography.
