NO, John Madden is the fatter, older less attractive Bas Rutten of Football.

In all seriousness though, I hope Dana does more with Bas. Inside MMA is my favorite show because Bas knows his shit, but isn't afraid to laugh and be self deprecating. Plus, Kenny Rice refuses to age. He's either a zombie or is a botox and makeup fiend.

Loved when they called the Strikeforce prelims on HDNet. Bas toned it down just enough so that his personality didn't overshadow the fights, but he was still entertaining.

I know it's just a pipe dream, but I would love to hear Bas, Rogan and Mauro Ranallo (or Kenny Rice) call a PPV. I like Goldie, but "Here we go" and "It's all over" are all he's got. It probably doesn't help that Rogan shits on him at times too during the commentary.
