Imagine how much different wrestling would be if WCW pushed Terra Ryzin

Whoa.

James Steele 05-26-2011 01:26 AM

WCW would be releasing "WWF - The Rise and Fall of Vince McMahon: 1984-1994"

Would be married to Ted Turner's daughter

James Steele 05-26-2011 01:33 AM

I love the story on how Triple H got the name "Terra Ryzing". According to the bonus commentary between Johnathan "The Coach" Coachman and Paul "Triple H" Levesque on "Triple H - The King of Kings: There Is Only One" DVD during Paul Levesque's first professional wrestling match, his trainer Killer Kowalski named him "The Terrorizer", and Paul told him he didn't want a gimmicky name like that and he wanted a normal first name/last name ring name. Killer Kowalski obliged by naming him "Terra Ryzing". Classic shit. I can't wait for the 10-disc compilation DVD on Triple H. I'll be <s>jacking off</s> entertained while watching it for days straight.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 01:42 AM

If Terra Ryzin is WCW champ, there is no Kliq, no DX, no Screwjob, no Bret leaving, no Blue Blazer, no Crap-E-Latch harness, Owen is WWF Champ.

Think about it.

James Steele 05-26-2011 01:44 AM

WWF wouldn't have lasted that long with Triple H on top. It is no coincidence that WCW made a sharp decline downward and died upon Triple H becoming a "top guy" in the WWF.

Jordan 05-26-2011 02:05 AM

lol

Razzamajazz 05-26-2011 02:09 AM

i are stupid

never connected the "terrorizin" i always thought it was some lame shit about "earth rising" in latin or something :|

The MAC 05-26-2011 02:09 AM

james steel is so delusional. This has past the point o being funny.

HHH did not make the difference to WWE that everyone thinks. DX (the 97 version) was all Shawn Michaels..anyone could have been his side man. The attitude era was Austin and the rock.

FUCK HHH!

Tom Guycott 05-26-2011 02:14 AM

My opinion differs. HHH would have been pushed, possibly to the main event and a title win... then one of many management changes would have taken place. He would inexplicably go from WCW Champ to WorldWide duty, back to the mid-card, been one of the lower-tier Horsemen, and have had at least 8 different gimmicks, including "fat chick thriller" as he would have been there years before Mike Awesome's 70's guy schtick.

I mean, really... we remember the likes of Austin and Jericho as gods amongst mortals, but they were both horribly misused and viewed as if they had no value in WCW. Why would Hunter have been treated differently?

Razzamajazz 05-26-2011 02:14 AM

how can you deny that this is the greatest debut in history?

BECAUSE THATS NOT THE POINT, RETARD

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 02:34 AM

Did you really think this thread was about how Triple H was misused in WCW?

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 02:35 AM

I'm sorry, that name calling was uncalled for.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 02:35 AM

You totally deserved it, but still. I should be the bigger man.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-26-2011 03:02 AM

Nothing of interest would change. He would just be fed to Nash, Hogan and Sting without HBK's stroke.

The MAC 05-26-2011 03:26 AM

HHH is proof that sucking up and kissing ass works. In wcw it was widely known that if you aren't friends with the boss you aint getting nowhere.

CAN YOU SUCK THAT DIGGA?

Vastardikai 05-26-2011 03:48 AM

Can someone prove that Keith Cole isn't Sting without his makeup?

Fox 05-26-2011 04:23 AM

"The Game" Terra Ryzin

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 08:52 AM

Did HHH use the cutter in WCW or was that just in his early WWF days? Could've had an epic feud with DDP.

Loose Cannon 05-26-2011 09:10 AM

What would of happened in 1995 when Hogan arrived and King Terra was on top?

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 09:33 AM

Prolly the same thing that happened to Vader and Flair, only more severe.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 09:36 AM

But the idea with this thread wasn't about what would've happened to WCW but what wouldn't have happened for the WWF. You can argue Triple H wasn't a draw, I don't care. Draw or not he had the biggest impact on shaping the backstage and creative landscape of the WWF.

Hard to say..especially since Hogan showed up in the summer of '94.....

Xero 05-26-2011 10:11 AM

It starts at DX. Who would have been Shawn's right hand man? What if Justin Credible became that?

98 could have gone without Hunter, really. Though the argument that Triple H/Rock was important, Rock still would have gotten huge.

99 is when shit would start to change, and 2000 drastic changes would start. No Triple H/Vince feud. No marrying Steph. But they weren't paramount to WWE winning the war. WCW still would have gone out, even if Triple H played his cards with Hogan and Nash. And I do think he would have been in with the Hogans and Nashes of WCW, because that's how he rolls.

I don't really think up until Triple H gained control (01-02 I guess?) that things would entirely break off into its own timeline. 02 onward would have been vastly different. There's also the question of, after WCW goes out, and assuming Hunter was at the top of WCW, where does he go? WWE? Waits out his contract? TNA?

Hanso Amore 05-26-2011 10:11 AM

How about this - a bit off but makes you go hmmmmm

He would have been a WCW type in the Invasion and wouldn't have Saved Flairs career (so no amazing Wrestlemania Farewell) with Evolution, and there would be no Orton or Bats.

HBK might not have ever come out of retirement.

As much as alot of people hate HHH, I like this thread idea, because you change his career you change 12 years of Wrestling History. Not many other names effect so many others as well. Austin is the only other, as without him the WWF loses the wars.

I dont know how much he would have changed WCW though. I think Hogan would have buried him like he did Vader and Flair.

Hanso Amore 05-26-2011 10:12 AM

RVD and Booker would have been champions sooner as well.

Hanso Amore 05-26-2011 10:13 AM

Test would have married Steph and would be running the show :)

I heard DDP called up HHH and asked him to stop using the cutter because DDP was old and only had so long to work, and HHH was young and could get over with a different move. HHH said ok.

James Steele 05-26-2011 11:30 AM

Do some of you people still hold some bullshit grudge against Triple H? I don't get it, and those of you who do hold a grudge should be ashamed of yourselves.

As a singles star, he would've had a great feud with Ric Flair.

As a tag team star, he and William Regal would be great as Tag Team Champions, as they both had a blue blood-style.

Are you seriously trying to challenge my Paul Levesque knowledge? Do you really want to fight that war with me? I will fucking crush you like your mother crushed your father's balls when she tried to get on top.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-26-2011 12:09 PM

You're saying Hunter could've replaced Beautiful Bobby Eaton as Regal's tag partner? That is huge.

No, I actually watched WCW in those early years, and that's what I thought when I first saw him there.
