Looks interesting to me...big fan of the original movie, so this'll probably get a watch.

Saw this a while ago, but I agree that it looks pretty intriguing. Hoping for the best, as I have yet to ever be remotely interested in watching Burton's remake.

Already made a thread about this awhile back, but whatever.

I'm looking forward to this movie. I too am a big fan of the various Apes movies.

The name of the movie is retarded.

The title doesn't exactly role off the tongue, but I have some hope for the film itself. That new trailer looks slick.

Poor Andy Serkis.

Dunno. Every bit more I see of this movie makes me want to see it more.

Huge mark for the classic movies. This caught my attention. The one from a few years ago was fucking terrible.

Dunno. Rewatched the one from a few years ago. It wasn't really THAT bad. I'm curious to know where it would have gone if it did not bomb.

It had some cool ideas. I just got off to a bad start with the film. I liked the part of investigating the origins of the species. There just seemed to be so much content that was off. Did like a lot of the designs tho.

This is getting pretty good critical reception thus far, and Serkis is getting most of the praise for his role as Cesar. Can't wait to see it, now.

Haven't really seen any of the PotA movies but this looks really good from the trailers.

I don't want to see a bunch of monkeys getting abused cause I'll be pretty sad. So if that's in this movie, I'm probably out.

Yes

I don't doubt that movie will be entertaining, but...

We have guns and tanks and bombs. Yes, apes are strong. But they're not bullet-proof.

shoulda done that instead of a prequel

The apes may me so large in number, and so much more brutaly strong than humans that they take over despite the army. Not to mention, considering the title, I highly doubt we see a full on takeover. Maybe just wherever James Franco's character resides in.

I enjoyed it, not a bad little movie at all.

So compared to Burton's film how good is this?
