IT'S SCRIPTED?!" reaction, it's the fact that Tough Enough, like NXT, the whole production is a total angle from start to finish designed to do the work that vignettes for debuting wrestlers used to. (Example, NXT 1 was merely a tool to set up all those guys for the Nexus angle... didn't truly matter that Barrett "won", they all got called up anyway.) A far cry from the original show.

They could essentially just eliminate all this "stupidity" and fabricated "contests" simply by televising FCW.
