Tampa looks for real. I figured that they wouldn't be as good in the post-season, but they've looked DEADLY.

Unless they suffer a complete meltdown of sorts, I can't see anyone beating this team. They are one maybe two levels higher than everyone else right now........and yes, I realize that they've played sub-par opponents thus far (i.e. a medicore Islander team, and a lackluster Montreal team......that created more turnovers in this series than Pillsbury).

i dunno, i think if they end up playing philly, theyr'e gonna have a hard time against a tough, hard hitting, big sized team. still it's nice to see a team do well playing an entertaining, offensive style of play rather then the deffensive style that a lot of other teams seem to rely on.

True, but Philly's going to be tired as well. Will they really be as "tough" and "hard hitting" as they usually are?

Also - I have a horrible feeling that the Leafs will come back. :nono:

If not - I still see Toronto/Philly going the distance.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-01-2004 06:37 PM

What if they play the Leafs? Won't they have hard time against THAT hard hitting team?

After two back to back TOUGH series, I think the Leafs will be hardpressed to beat Tampa Bay.......let alone play their usual physical style.

Assuming Tampa plays like they've been playing all season, I'd expect them to beat the Leafs in 6.

Ah, Dave - your humor is on today...

The Outlaw 05-01-2004 08:46 PM

Sakic!

Also, is Tie Domi known as a cheap player? Dunno much about him but from that last game he threw some cheap shots.

MoRcHeEbA 05-01-2004 09:04 PM

Domi is good at his job which is an enforcer, I don't think he's ever really been a cheap player. When he was in Winnipeg he was the man

YOUR Hero 05-01-2004 09:44 PM

Domi is an awesome role player.

Again with the Sakic inOT today.... Come on San Jose!!

YOUR Hero 05-01-2004 09:45 PM

BUT CALGARY WON OMG

Heyman 05-01-2004 10:19 PM

I'm cheering for the Flames as well. They remind me of the 94' canucks, in terms of their hussle and enthusiasm.

I don't care about San Jose/Colorado too much. I don't like either team that much, but I guess I like the Sharks a bit more (nice to see a new team emerge).

In the East, I am clearly pulling for the Bolts. These guys are FUN to watch. I didn't realize how cool this team was (I didn't watch them all season until the Playoffs).

Y2Ant 05-01-2004 11:51 PM

If Detroit and Colorado both lose their next games (hopefully), then the Stanley cup final will rule, since it will have fresh teams in it

Domi is playing awesome in the playoffs.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-02-2004 02:40 PM

He's got 4 points and is a +4.

Y2Ant 05-02-2004 07:03 PM

McCabe and Leetch are a -4 rite now :D

The Outlaw 05-03-2004 06:54 PM

Oh ok well then my b about Domi

I just have been watching the playoffs and with like 4 seconds left in the game on a faceoff he threw a cheap shot, wasnt real sure. :y:
