I don't agree that a wrestler from a certain country is inherently better. I agree that to be a better wrestler, you have to learn and adapt the different styles that are out there.

I doubt Tazz has affected the lives of that many people but every time I see The Cat I seem to wind up singing 'Somebody Call My Mama' in a Tazz style in my head

Well, if Japanese wrestlers are truly far superior at everything in the business then I'm fairly fucked as a fan considering I can probably name 4 Japanese wrestlers off the top of my head. Maybe.

a lot of them are truly far superior at dropping guys on their heads and hitting each other as hard as possible. And some of them are really some of the best wrestlers in the world. You'll get by.

what about submissions and technique? technique wise the best wrestler in the world might be AJ Styles, everything he does looks perfect. And submission/holds/transitions/reversals/"tech" I'd say Johnny Saint/Regal/Danielson/one of the old Brit guys trained specifically with holds/reversals/submissions etc, guys that can straight chain wrestle for 30 minutes
