STOP LIVING IN THE PAST Vol. 4: Big Evil Red Devil vs. The Lame Triple H

These 2 have faced off THRICE!

There could be another feud somewhere, but discuss and compare each of these 3 feuds

That WM27 promo sounds like it could have been narrated by James Steele.

Next.

The Naitch 07-08-2011 09:46 AM

Big Evil Red Devil circa heel run 2002 was one of my favorite themes

Rammsteinmad 07-08-2011 11:23 AM

Didn't they call him 'Booger Red' for a while too? I mean, what the fuck does 'Booger Red' even mean?

PorkSoda 07-08-2011 12:05 PM

At Wrestlemania, Ric Flair vs Undertaker, JR kept calling Taker Booger Red.

King: What the hell is a Booger Red?
JR: I'll tell ya tomorrow

Aaronp43 07-08-2011 01:18 PM

WM27 was there best match that ppv sucked at least that match made it worth watching

James Steele 07-08-2011 02:28 PM

2 of the biggest icons in the history of professional wrestling always manage to deliver the goods when they collide in the ring. I could watch it all day every day.

Xero 07-08-2011 03:05 PM

The Mania 27 match is over rated as hell. Was not a fan of it at all.

The Mania 17 build and match are far superior.

Shisen Kopf 07-08-2011 03:38 PM

Their feud was serious business.

Aaronp43 07-08-2011 03:53 PM

The wm 27 match was not overrated it was awesome but your right about the buildup to it the buildup for 17 was some good stuff

Lock Jaw 07-08-2011 03:54 PM

WM27 match was pretty terrible, as was the build up to it.

The other two were "the goods" though.

James Steele 07-08-2011 04:38 PM

Come on! The WM27 match was pretty damn good, and I can see where Xero is coming from with it being "overrated" (WWE overdid the "legend vs legend EPIC BATTLE TO THE DEATH" thing) but calling it "terrible" is quite a stretch.

It only had that over the top build cos HHH was in it. He thinks he's a pretty big deal. in ten years time people will say 'when was Triple H a wrestler? i cant remember him at all'

Lock Jaw 07-08-2011 04:52 PM

Yeah. I can't remember that 13 time World Champ at all! What was his name again?

HBPunk 07-08-2011 05:16 PM

how many title reigns do orton and cena have between them? cena will be remembered, orton wont.

Lock Jaw 07-08-2011 05:29 PM

Yeah. Definitely gonna forget the dude who was the second biggest name in the company for a good period of time.

Aaronp43 07-08-2011 05:47 PM

Orton will not be forgotten but cena will at least i hope he is dude cant wrestle at all but could cut a good promo back in the day

Dude cant punctuate either. How will Cena be forgotten!! He's been the number 1 guy in WWE since about 2004. Only Hulk Hogan can rival the longevity of Cena as the poster boy. Even Austin had Rock to compete with. Michaels had Bret. Hogan was the guy. Cena IS the guy. Wont see him holding the title on Smackdown anytime soon, like a certain somebody.

BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. What are the winning lotto numbers next week so?

Xero 07-08-2011 07:03 PM

It depends on how well they push him to the next generation, though. Obviously, Triple H will always get that thing about how he's now "the boss" and a true wrestling legend, and the next generation(s) of fans will know him and his past. But look at someone like Bruno. I guarantee you that 90% of fans who have come in post-95 have no idea who he is other than a guy who held the title for a long time, if that.

He's an extreme example since he's basically been Benoit'd by WWE, but still.

Aaronp43 07-08-2011 07:05 PM

Your right.Cena will be remembered as the biggest but kisser of all time.Orton is better in every way then Cena the only thing going for Cena is a match that is more then a year away. And the rock will carry him then!!!

This is a load of shit. Cena will be remembered by the current generation of fans for whatever they see him as (shit, awesome, whatever), and will be touted in the same breath of Austin and Hogan when WWE is talking about their past years down the line.

Aaronp43 07-08-2011 07:11 PM

WHAT!!! When he is gone nobody with a brain will mention him with Austin or Hogan or for that matter even HHH.What has he done except what any body that wants to get on top does and that is kiss the bosses butt.

Xero 07-08-2011 07:19 PM

Austin kissed Vince's ass. Hogan kissed Vince's ass. Don't think they weren't "ass kissers".

You seem to fail to realize that while there IS a divide in the fanbase, by and large, Cena is loved by a majority of the fans, and to many is the hero of this generation, much like Austin and Hogan of their respective generations. And he's amazing with his PR work and his work with Make a Wish, and that alone bumps him up in my eyes at least.

Am I saying Cena belongs to be on par with Hogan and Austin? No. I think he's on the next level down, but that doesn't mean he WON'T be seen in the WWE's universe as one of the major players in history. Because he WILL be.

The Naitch 07-08-2011 11:08 PM
