Laptop gaming/emulation/video cards/help me

Yeah so, I'm looking to buy a new laptop. And I would like to be able to do some minor gaming on it. I don't need to be able to run Battlefield 3 fluently, just something that can decently run slightly (IE, a couple of years) older games. More importantly though, I'd like to be able to emulate some last gen game systems like PS2 or Gamecube if at all possible.

So yeah, what should I be looking for here in terms of video cards/processors/RAM/what have you?

Perhaps I should've mentioned that I'm not looking to spend more than $800, a thousand at the absolute most. After taxes.

Well here's your just under a grand option. Dunno if it includes tax or what because I've gone all the way to a Canadian site, just for you.

800 CAD on the nose, but still a nice i5

700CAD budget option in case taxes aren't included

Or, if you have a Walmart, this is probably the cheapest you might wanna consider going.
