Taker needs to go back to the american badass "bikini" gimmick
 

Taker's "biking" gimmick as I call it, was one that was hated and loved by many people. I remember when he was a biker alot of people wanted to see him go back to his original deadman persona that he was a classic on. However, now that I think of it and that we have seen Taker as his goth persona for years, well, to be honest, Taker as a biker was better.

Why?

1. Taker was more functional. He had better moves and didnt need to rely on the same old spots. Taker could also cut better promos instead of saying voodoo junk from twilight novels.

2. Taker looked more real. With Taker as his zombie gimmick, it just looks like he's playin. But with Taker as the biker u could see that it was really him, like who he is in real life. It made it much more enjoyable to see him feud and made his promo's much more unpredictable and fun to watch.

3. Taker wrestled better. Sure u will say well taker was younger but lets face it, Taker did some new stuff. Nowdays Taker cant do any new stuff because hes suppose to be a zombie and it doesnt fit his gimmick.

Also I think it would make sense for Taker to wrap up his carrier as the badass that he is in real life. You dont see guys going into the hall of fame dressed in gimmicks so it only makes sense for Taker to go all out. And its no surprise that Taker has maybe 5 more years to go in the ring before he is retires and its no surprise that it would be better to see those years as an active biker than a boring zombie.

Also, not sure if going back to the biker gimmick would really work well for Undertaker. One more feud I would love to see, not at Wrestlemania mind you, would be Mark Calloway vs. Glen Jacobs.

Totally wouldn't make sense now, with Kane being a face again and Undertaker being retired, but I always thought if they could make their feud so personal that they went out of character on each other. Would be a terrible idea for kayfabe, but it would be interesting, like 'Taker's feud with Lesnar, when that woman was involved and was calling him 'Mark'.

Anyways, all terrible ideas. Undertaker is the Undertaker. He's done now, there won't be any biker gimmicks and certainly no more 'five years in him', unless you count one match a year as 'five years in him'.

I didnt mean Taker would wresles full time schedule for 5 years. I meant 5 years of his part time schedule that he has now with wrestling sometimes and being on and off tv can work well imo. Another Kane/Taker feud would be boring now on the other hand Cena/Taker feud would be epic if Taker goes up against Cena at Mania...perfect way for Cena to turn heel. Cena cheats to win and brake the streak...instant heel Cena.

Exactly. Hence, the only thing that would ever get my interest is if they broke character. Will never happen, and if it did it would probably be so illogical that it'd suck... but whatever...

1 and 3 are very easily answered by pointig out that, as his more modern "deadman" persona, he has both cut better promos and done better wrestling than prior. If the gimmick is superfluous to the outcome, then there's no need to change the gimmick.

Also, I'm not sure his ending his career as Mark instead of Taker is really going to be an accurate cap to a career. His Biker gimmick was mosly the lame ass 90s "I don't want to act anymore" deal. It's kinda dumb. If you don't want to play a character, don't get into wrestling. Or at least wait until the era of the bland guy with a normal name and ratings that are no longer the envy of every cable company in the States.

Personally, I don't think I can love the man more than when he pulls out the stops, but he does that when he wants to, and not because of a gimmick change. If he switches back to the Bikini Badass, he'll still likely do the same thing he's done of late.

Here is a terrible idea...

Taker shaves his head bald and declares hes a skin head and then attacks Kane. He walks out and says, "Kane...his name aint Kane...his name is Glen Jacobs" and then Nazi Taker starts beating up Kane when all of a sudden Scotty Goldman runs out with a handgun and tells Nazi Taker to put his hands up. Taker gets affraid and surrenders and Goldman arrests him. Goldman and Kane then form the "Jewish Konnection" and begin to control the WWE.

Kane Knight beat me to the punch, I can see him doing his final run (maybe before next wrestlmania) has Mark Callaway... Showing up randomly dressed up as "himself" in the biker attire and start whatever feud(in his yard).

J.R could be going crazy mentioning it "Thats Mark Callaway, thats Mark Callaway, The Undertaker Mark Callaway is back" type deal...

If he retires and decides to do one last match (something I don't think he'll do) he'd almost have to come back has Mark, Not to mention it could be a good way to induct him into the hall of fame as Mark"Undertaker"Callaway.

But ya bring back Biker Taker ASAP and give him some biker Desciples he can get over. Big guys that can eventualy get over enough to replace him.

not to go off topic but I'm bringing it up cause I think it would be good for kane, wearing a cut and jeans on a bike along with taker.

I think what would be perfect for Taker is just a combo of everything. He's kinda been doing it but I think he should incorporate a little bit of everything from his career into a new look. Some of the purple/grey original Taker stuff, Ministry, Biker, etc.

If done right it'd be pretty great I think. Especially if they got an artist to design it.

Taker will probably do gigs for another year or two. I hope he gets out before he turns into a Rick Flare type. Anyway, I think he will return with a new image similar to how he has reinvented himself in the past. Then again he might just stick with the Undertaker we all know and love because why not? He does not need to change to win over fans or to stay alive in the business at this point in his career.

Also, Pintint, Taker is undead. Always has been and always will be. He used to live in an Urn. Be grateful that you get to witness him within a mortal body.
