Todd Grisham leaves WWE for ESPN

Was never a huge fan, but good for him.
He waved to me at Night of Champions 09. |
Pair him up with The Coach
|
Coach and Grish on ESPN? Sweet.
|
Coach actually has a pretty decent radio show.
Good for Gresham. Didn't seem like WWE had him in their plans for the immediate future. Hope he does well. |
Surprised he didn't mention it tonight. Regardless, he was enjoyable and I look forward to seeing him on ESPN. Hope Josh Matthews heads back to NXT to call the show with Regal.
|
Wow....I knew the coach was sports to start, then hit the WWE. Grisham just didnt seem the sportcaster type to me.
Amazing though. Reaching ESPN is huge. I love listening to the Coach these days with Freddie Coleman. Its hard to imagine he was wrestling on Raw a few years ago like Cole is now. |
He does have some recent history with sportscasting because for the past few years he's been either a play-by-play or pre-game announcer for MLS matches on Fox Soccer Channel.
Was sort of shocked the first time I noticed him calling soccer matches while also working with the WWE. |
Him and Striker were probably the best announce team for a while during ECW

I enjoyed Grisham on commentary quite a bit, and I hope he does well with ESPN too. |
I will always remember him for
"It's time for our Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain Eeeeeeevent!" and |
The Grish was very likeable and enjoyable. Good to see him heading on to a bigger field.
|
It's a shame to see him go. I always liked Grisham, but it's good that he's leaving to do another really good job.
|
Good for Grisham.
|
Its late TPWW...
Come to bed with the Grish
SPOILER: show |

If Grisham hadn't quit he would have been future endeavored some point soon seeing as he's never on TV. Good luck to him
|
He pretty much got lost in the shuffle. Never really loved or hated the guy, but good for him. He's definitely moving on to bigger and better things.
|
Never really 'liked' him, because he wasn't really much of a character. Just a straight up announcer/interview kinda guy. Still, he did a good enough job, and I had/have no problems with him. Good luck to him I guess.
|
I notice they didn't say "future endeavours."
HMMMMMMMM... |
I'm happy for him. It was obvious that Grisham wasn't seen in WWE's long-term plans after they pulled him off SmackDown. Hopefully he will do well on SportsCenter.
|
I wonder if he'll go the Coach road and actually interview Vince at some point, or the Sean Mooney road and pretend he never worked in wrestling.
|
can't wait for the uncomfortable first episode when Grisham and Coach are both anchoring SportsCenter
|
Haven't watched nxt since it has been off tv so I forgot he was still doing something, so I guess it's good for him
|
I liked the guy but he's probably better off in a different setting than wrestling. It seems in WWE there are only 4 positions for commentators; the 2 main guys and the 2 guys that may replace them in the future.

He was never one of my favorites but it's probly for the best since he was demoted from SD as a clear result of Vince not being that impressed with him.
|
Good for Grisham. Always liked him.

For Grisham good for him. As cutthroat and bruttish as a place ESPN purports itself to be, I'm sure it's smooth sailing compared to working for Vince McMahon.

You tell the guy to "get fucked", then you comment the exact same thing he did? |

Dude, it's the Internet, it's not real! |
lol @ when he ranted at the TNA fan on Byte This.
That is my favourite Todd Grisham moment. |
I am extremely indifferent to these news. Just like I was always to Todd.
Matt Striker is the only young announcer I really like. Dunno what people see in Josh Matthews. |
Josh Matthews is adorable, and the man. Leave him alone
|
I wish him luck.
