Kurt Angle is great.. But looks different...
 

I know Kurt Angle is one of the top performers all time in pro wraaaassslin. But I just happen to switch on a repeat of Impact Wrestling last night and saw him face Sting in the main event. It was good and all that, but Angle looks, for lack of a better word, WEIRD. His body, to me, has deteriorated.

He is still one of the top performers in the game. But I'm curious, is this because he wasn't using performance enhancing drugs, or just that he's older now?

Looks like old age to me. However, if the talk of Angle trying out for the Olympics again is true, I'd imagine he'd have to have given up a lot of drugs or whatever.

He just looked so odd to me.. unhealthy... how he can be training for the Olympics... its just strange... I know he reads these pages... and I wish him all the best of luck.

when they're off the drugs everyone says they look terrible and when they're using again everyone tells them how they're starting to finnaly look healthy...

easy trap to fall in. See it at work all the time, hard to quit a drug when people tell you you're finnaly starting to look good the day you cheated and used again.

Also just wanted to add, that match was pretty awesome until the usual Hogan crap takes over.

TNA, despite not having anywhere near as much money as WWE, have a pretty good production going on. Their stage looks pretty nifty and their camera angles and lighting etc all make this look like a top level wrestling organization. Even if their booking doesn't. I also really like how it looks like the whole arena is PACKED, even though occasionally you get very brief glimpses of the camera side where it's not so packed.

I also noticed that it looked very professional when I watched.

I'd love it, but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.... I wouldn't be surprised if it were to happen down the line.....

He's getting old so yeah he's gonna look older. I'll agree the guy looks really bad compared to his old self but for a middleaged guy who's taken the punishment he has I'd say he's come out looking pretty good.

He's not on roids or drugs anymore, thats why he looks different.

He should grow out a bit more hair again. He looked fucking crazy when he had it last time. (And not 'crazy' crazy from drugs etc... I mean crazy in the way that he looked like a fucking psycho who would fuck you up in the ring).

It's pretty weird to think how quickly time flies. In just over a month, Angle will have been in TNA for FIVE YEARS!!! His WWE career (from his on-screen debut as a wrestler) last around five years and nine months.

I don't have too much in the way of speculation, but I wouldn't mind seeing him return to WWE.

I think Kurt Angle still tastes great, while only having 1/3rd the calories.

I would love to see Kurt return to the WWE. I actually think its inevitable that he will, eventually, come back to end his career there. The man's ego is much too large to let his career finish up in a second-tier, poorly rated, poorly managed company like TNA, and the heads at WWE aren't stupid - they will give Kurt Angle the send off he deserves, as he truly is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

I also desperately want to see Kurt Angle vs. CM Punk.
