Fantasy Wrestling promotion idea

I know we have a C-Fed area of the board but is anyone interested in booking a fantasy promotion

where each week you would post the weekly tv show as well as like maybe 1 house show a week

each person would book their own version of the territories

since 1985 was the pinnacle year for wrestling we should start there

here are all the territories for 1985:

World Wrestling Federation
Jim Crockett Promotions
American Wrestling Association
Championship Wrestling from Florida
Mid South Wrestling
Central States Wrestling
Southwest Championship Wrestling
World Class Championship Wrestling
CWA Memphis
Georgia Championship Wrestling
Continental Championship Wrestling
Pacific Northwest Wrestling
Stampede Wrestling
Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling
New Japan Pro Wrestling
All Japan Pro Wrestling
AAA
CMLL
World Wrestling Council

Xero 09-07-2011 11:33 PM

Isn't this what Armchair Warfare was? That petered out after a few weeks I think...

Seth82 09-07-2011 11:39 PM

I've decided to book CWA Memphis for 1985

also each territory should limit to 30 singles wrestlers and 5 tag teams

also 2 managers

also since it's fantasy and all we can still use some of the same talent as perhaps another territory is using

XL 09-08-2011 12:01 AM

This should be good...

CSL 09-08-2011 12:08 AM

lol the complete no-sell of Xero's post. And I think Seth should book every territory.

Shisen Kopf 09-08-2011 12:21 AM

Barb wire baseball bat on a pole inferno cage match will be the main event. If I were booker.

Jordan 09-08-2011 02:20 AM

Why do I always feel like Seth is jacking off while typing?

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 02:34 AM

AWF went more than a couple weeks, and it was the shit.

Just a lot of work, is all.

BizarroKing 09-08-2011 07:08 AM

IF I do this, I call the original WWF

Shisen Kopf 09-08-2011 07:37 AM

WCCW and all you gotta do is book a Von Erich in the main event

+1

I'm gonna book Seth in a "drag a fag behind a truck" match.

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 01:35 PM

The only promotion whose roster I would be entirely familiar with is the WWF, and I don't know why Seth thinks everybody knows everything about 1985. I was 2 years old at the time, and I'm definitely not the youngest guy on the site.

That being said, I want to play. Give me Stampede wrestling.

Seth82 09-08-2011 01:55 PM

to find info on these promotions check out Sports and Wrestling forums and go to Ask Clawmaster

the dude has a shitload of results and will tell you what the promotion was using for talent

as for Stampede go to Online World of Wrestling and click on Promotions and then Canadian promotions

as for WWF stuff go to History of WWE

History of WWE also has NWA/WCW results dating back to 1983 to 2001

oh you are hilarious

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 01:58 PM

When should I start booking? Right now?

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 02:11 PM

Apparently, WWF scooped a lot of people from Stampede in 1985. Son of a bitch.

What kind of truck? A dodge ram??

BizarroKing 09-08-2011 02:15 PM

WWF from 1985? So basically booking goes as Hogan as the Proto-Cena, Andre, some misc. midgets, and Hillbillies.

he mentioned it being fantasy and using talent from elsewhere, in this reality I don't see why Stampede couldn't have been invested in by Ted Turner some 3 years before he bought Crockett and decided to offer guaranteed contracts in 1985 to Bret and co. and offered Hulk Hogan $10m to show up in Saskatoon with the WWF title

CSL 09-08-2011 02:22 PM

what? Ellie Hart married Ric Flair instead of Jim Neidhart? that'll probably be decent for business

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 02:33 PM

The only 'stroke' Jim Neidhart had was upon his goatee.

Myself and the booking committee are still working out the final touches.

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 02:34 PM

Can I have Chandler Scott Lee Sr. as my heavyweight champion?

CSL 09-08-2011 02:38 PM

dunno, you have to at least give the others a chance/a sniff of winning :-\

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 02:40 PM

Not if I'm competing with Hogan in Stamford.

Anybody Thrilla 09-08-2011 02:42 PM

I actually wouldn't mind participating in something like this, but I wouldn't write out everything in extreme detail like I did with Hard Knocks Wrestling.

Seth82 09-08-2011 04:08 PM

nah as for matches just do like a beginning part, a middle part and what happens in the end to decide the outcome

Shisen Kopf 09-10-2011 11:17 AM

Main event will be a Von Erich battle royal and everyone but the wiiner must commit suicide.

parkmania 09-10-2011 06:54 PM

I would like to get in, but I have significantly less time now than when I wrote IWC - and even then I didn't really have a chance to finish off the season like I wanted to.

XL 09-15-2011 09:03 PM

I'd get in on this...but it wouldn't be fair to the rest of you ;)
