Is it just me, or has Southpark...

gotten better over time?

Mike the Metal Ed 05-01-2004 10:11 AM

MrMeJW 05-01-2004 11:18 AM

Yeah it has... except of this week's episode. It was kinda meh.

Lara Emily 05-01-2004 12:07 PM

I toally agree.

Boomer 05-01-2004 12:11 PM

No exceptions. It has gotten better. And every episode can't be the same calibur. That goes for all episodes. You just have to appreciate what each episode does.

The Mackem 05-01-2004 02:08 PM

Yeah it was always good but the ones I've seen over the last year have been really good.

el fregadero 05-01-2004 02:16 PM

I'd say yes.

Fryza 05-01-2004 02:46 PM

I'd say no, but I haven't watched it for a couple of years.

Fox 05-01-2004 02:48 PM

They tookerjeerbs!

FakeLaser 05-01-2004 03:31 PM

Yeah, somehow each season is better than the last.

Buzzkill 05-01-2004 04:02 PM

Its definetly getting better and better

THEY TUK YUR GOB

RGWhat316 05-01-2004 04:30 PM

I love South Park, and think the episodes this year have been getting better than last years. The opening one with the Ninja's was great. More of Cartman's shenanigans like being a handicap kid and a robot. This weeks episode was weird, as they thought a gay pile would save the world.

Boomer 05-01-2004 04:35 PM

Hmm another question....and don't think it's ludicris...will South Park last longer than the Simpsons?

Triple A 05-01-2004 04:43 PM

Yeah, some episodes are ****ing genius.

Funky Fly 05-01-2004 06:57 PM

Yeah, so far every episode of the new season has had a point to it. They have a ****ed up way of saying something, while doing hilarious parodies of current events at the same time.

They tuk urr jyerbs!

ct2k 05-01-2004 08:03 PM

The movie is still the most awesome thing ever

YOUR Hero 05-01-2004 10:00 PM

yeah. i see it as being good, then going into a funk, then picking it up, leveling off, then getting quite a bit better

The Mackem 05-01-2004 10:04 PM

I can't remember them ever disco dancing.

road doggy dogg 05-01-2004 10:14 PM

Yeah this season, like every episode has been a parody or satire of something, and it's been hot

Overall though, yeah I'd agree. Hot show.

Smitty 05-01-2004 10:23 PM

I think South Park is progressing like The Simpson's did, in that they peaked from like their 3rd season to like the 8th or 9th and then will start to run out of ideas.

Boomer 05-01-2004 11:10 PM

I don't think South Park will easily run out of ideas. I mean it happened to the Simpsons yes, but South Park does up-to-date things. It takes them 2 days to make an episode, while Simpsons episodes take like 8 months I think (one of my friends gave me that stat, dunno if it's accurate). I remember the night of the Jefferson's episode breaking news hit about Michael Jackson being endicted. They can make fun of stuff right then and there, and it's always fresh on people's minds.

Myles 05-01-2004 11:19 PM

I haven't watched south park since I was 13. I'll give it a try though, and see if its as good as you guys say it is. I used to love that show. I have like seasons 1,2,3 on video.

AareDub 05-01-2004 11:22 PM

EVERYBODY BACK IN THE PILE!!!!!

South Park is once again great, but the season without Kenny was pure shit.

Azriel 05-02-2004 12:08 AM

It's definitely doing good this season. I'm not sure if it'll last longer than Simpsons, maybe just as long.

BigDaddyCool 05-02-2004 01:33 AM

who said they didn't like the last episode, that is the funniest I have ever seen.

dookerujeb (Some how that is took your job)

RGWhat316 05-02-2004 01:57 AM

Don't make fun of South Park, thats ignorant, thats ignorant

Shawn 05-02-2004 03:59 AM

How bout you help your self to a fooking science book cause your talking like a fooking retard.

Mr. Monday Morning 05-02-2004 08:55 AM

It absolutely has.

A couple weeks ago I was going through S5 (when it really picked up in my eyes). The ep where they teach the kids sex ed. was just absolute f</>ucking gold :D

Tornado 05-02-2004 09:09 AM

The Michael Jackson episode was GOLDEN. The "got your nose" bit was predictable, but ****ing hilarious.
"Look at me, I'm Peter Pan, i'm a little boy forever...cha-chamone"

Also, "Up the Down Steroid" and "Good Times with Weapons" were both excellent.

I wondered how to write that.

Series 8 has been fuc</>king excellent thus far. South Park is one of my favourite shows.

...Everyone back on the pile. :naughty:

Dazz 05-02-2004 04:50 PM

Series one was great, I don't recall laughing once throughout Series two, (unless Cartmen being a cop was series two). And I haven't watched it since. Well, I saw one episode, and I failed to see how Timmy was funny, so I would disagree. However, I did love the movie.

Scarface 05-02-2004 05:25 PM

Cartman being a cop was Series 2. The Chicken lover episode to be exact.

mitch_h 05-02-2004 05:30 PM

Yea I thought the show would have peaked at season 6 but it just keeps getting better and better. Butters is the greatest character in the history of TV.

If you liked the movie you should, in theory, LOVE Season 5 onwards. Try em out.

Wengerland 05-03-2004 07:44 AM

Yeah i would agree.Even though the only ones i've seen recently were Free Hat and one which kept going Rob Schneider is....

Both were pretty good.

TheNamelessOne 05-03-2004 08:06 AM

Indeed, South Park does get better with age, although every now and then the odd average episode is put out. The parody of Great Expectations for instance. The only part I laughed at was at the start when the narrator goes "Hello there, I'm a British person". After that it just got boring.

Sephiroth 05-03-2004 08:51 AM

It has gotten better, but i liked it before it got better :-\

What Would Kevin Do? 05-03-2004 09:16 AM

It's gotten hella better... I used to hate South Park, now it's one of my favorite shows.

Chicken sandwhich???
