Has Cena ever tapped out?
 

Heading into Night of Champions where Cena will be facing the WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio, whose finish is the cross arm breaker, I got to thinking and I can't honestly ever remember a time that John Cena tapped out to anyone.

Somebody prove me wrong on this.

Can't remember anything specifics, but I'm sure Benoit made him tap out back in 2003 or somewhen.

I just typed "John Cena taps out to" in google and posted the first thing that showed up.

John Cena has tapped out to Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit on many occasions. But he has never tapped out ever since winning the WWE Championship for the first time.

The only exception being when Eric Bischoff screwed him into tapping to the Ankle lock on an episode of Raw.

Yeah, I guess I wasn't really thinking about his pre-WWE Champion days. Maybe a better question is: has Super-Cena ever tapped out? The answer, I'm quite sure, is "no."

The real question is, has "Super Cena" ever tapped out.

SuperCena has never tapped out.

Cena Kent has been seen tapping out on numerous occassions.

Can't find any videos or proof, but I'm pretty sure SuperCena tapped at some point in 2005 or 2006 to Kurt Angle, but maybe it wasn't officially in a match. Like, sometime around Unforgiven 2005 I'm thinking, Angle would blindside Cena after or during a match and put him in the Ankle Lock, and Cena would tap out to signify that 'it fucking hurts', but it wouldn't have counted as an official tap out as it wasn't a match.

Maybe...

Chris Jericho also technically has a Submission Victory over John Cena, granted that was like Rookie John Cena.
