Money Mayweather/Ortiz *spoilers*

dunno if anybody has just seen this but mad finish to the fight. Ortiz headbutts Mayweather ala Chris Benoit, referee calls a break, Ortiz apologizes, the ref restarts the fight but leaves them far too close together and Mayweather twats Ortiz silly whilst Ortiz looks at the ref with his hands by his side as if to say 'whaaaat' on his way down and out. Followed by a legendary interview afterwards in which Floyd eventually gets pissy and the 80 year old Larry Merchant tells him he wishes he was 50 years younger so he could kick his ass. A+ entertainment.

He ducks Pacquiao, but Larry Merchant is fair game.

I'm actually not that upset over the ending. Yeah, the ref shouldn't have had them so close but (and I only watched 1 replay) it seemed like he made a proper move to indicate the actoin was back on. Ortiz already apologized once and Mayweather accepted, that's enough for me. We can't spend the whole round hugging and kissing and apologizing.

Just set the date for Pacquiao/Mayweather and I will be there

So Ortiz apologizes twice, he kisses him on the cheek then taps his gloves when the ref holds his hand. That would be more than enough for me if I was Mayweather. Once the ref starts it up, come out swinging some more.

Problem is, ref never really started it. Fuckin send them to their corners, clap your hands and lets go.

This is more of the ref dropping the ball than Mayweather throwing a cheap punch.

Mayweather playing the heel here but I love it. Whether Ortiz planned to throw the headbutt or whether it was spur of the moment, it could've definitely taken a toll on the fight. Mayweather made sure it didn't.

Also, I keep hearing about Mayweather ducking Manny but I don't know the full story apparently. I thought that all Mayweather wanted was olympic style drug testing?

Mayweather was in the right as far as the KO goes. People are going to try to diminish the win because they hate Floyd.

I hate Larry Merchant. Floyd's a jackass, but Merchant is too. He's always taking pot shots at fighters or making some smart ass/borderline disrespectful comments during the fights. He doesn't appreciate what these guys do.

Mayweather ducking Pacquiao is bullshit too. Floyd wanted Olympic style drug testing (which is what they did for the Mosley/Mayweather fight) and Manny refused because he's superstitious about having his blood drawn and thinks it weakens him. *BULLSHIT*

Then he comes out and says he'll agree to random blood testing as long as it ceases 24 days before the fight and Mayweather countered with random blood testing all the way up to 14 days out, which Manny refused. Then all the jock riders, Manny marks and sports commentators come out saying Floyd is scared of Manny. If Pacquiao is on something, what good would it do to give him 24 days to juice up? If Manny really thinks having his blood drawn weakens him, is 14 days not enough time for him to get his strength back?

Freddie Roach himself even admitted at the 3:20 mark of this video before the Mosley fight that Manny refused to submit to Olympic style drug testing but somehow Mayweather is ducking Manny? Mosley has a history of using performance enhancing drugs and is on the tail end of his career but Freddie was so nonchalant about not having random testing for that fight. Hmmm. Yet he made sure Margarito's wraps were checked before that fight. Seems like they were playing "What's Good for the Goose is Good for the Gander" with Mosley, but kept their eye on Margarito. No one wants to call bullshit on Manny because he is a nice guy and it's hard to cheer against him (plus Floyd's a dick) but his camp is full of shit on the drug testing thing.
