Your dream supergroup

What different musicians would you want in a supergroup if you had the choice?

Singer/Screamer - Jeremy Mckinnon (A Day To Remember)
Singer - Dallas Green (Alexisonfire)
Guitarist - Phil Sneed (Story of the Year), best backup singer ever
Guitarist - Luke Hoskin (Protest The Hero), my idol
Bassist - Arif (Protest The Hero), best bassist I've ever seen live
Drummer - The Rev (Avenged Sevenfold, RIP)

Buzzkill 09-24-2011 07:16 PM

Vocals: MF Doom, Jay Electronica
Production: Panda Bear, Thom Yorke, Madlib

Vocals/Guitar/Drums: Jack White

CSL 09-24-2011 07:22 PM

fucking screamer

CSL 09-24-2011 07:23 PM

that's a really whiny sounding band

FakeLaser 09-24-2011 07:36 PM

Singer: Rod Stewart
Lead Keytar: The Dude from Europe
Lead Guitar: Chad Kroeger

FakeLaser 09-24-2011 07:39 PM

I find that pretty much every super group sucks

Atoms For Peace is pretty good I guess

Wild Flag, if you wanna consider them a supergroup

Buzzkill 09-24-2011 07:42 PM

Yeah I agree about most super groups sucking. I think that the way musicians collaborate is way overlooked in the quality of their product.

Exceptions: Anything Dangermouse does.

CSL 09-24-2011 07:47 PM

Chad Kroeger has looked 45 for about 15 years or however long Nickelback have been around and apparently he's not even 40 yet, what's that all about

FakeLaser 09-24-2011 07:50 PM

LOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPHHHHHHHHHHHH

Rammsteinmad 09-24-2011 07:53 PM

Transatlantic are awesome and have achieved world-wide success... for anyone who's into Progressive Rock supergroups (which is nobody).

You're referring to Europe keyboardist Mic Michaeli, who also played for bands like Brazen Abbot and Last Autumn's Dream.

DLVH84 09-24-2011 09:13 PM

My supergroup would comprise of the following

Guitar: Eddie Van Halen
Keyboards: Mic Michaeli
Bass: Billy Sheehan
Drums: Carmine Appice

blake639raw 09-24-2011 09:19 PM

The Traveling Wilburys were good.

DLVH84 09-25-2011 12:12 AM

The Firm was great.

+1 for Transatlantic.

Can't really say I've listened to any other 'supergroups' although, and they have been mentioned here, I've heard the stuff by the Travelling Wilburys and enjoyed that.

Requiem 09-25-2011 02:34 PM

Only actual supergroup i think i've ever heard is Them Crooked Vultures, and they are amazing.

RoXer 09-25-2011 02:42 PM

Audioslave just going by the wayside I suppose

Requiem 09-25-2011 02:43 PM

Guess I never realized who was actually in Audioslave. Was never a big fan though.

FakeLaser 05-08-2013 05:20 PM

Kim
Lee
Steve

Krow 05-12-2013 12:25 AM

Piano/Keyboard/Vocal: Emily Haines

Guitar: Mike Einziger

Bass: Gustavo dal Farra

Drums: Neil Peart

Or just give Bobby McFerrin a microphone and tell him to have at it. That works for me, too.

Rammsteinmad 05-17-2013 05:51 PM

This would make an awesome pop/rock kinda group:

Guitars and Vocals - Bryan Adams
Bass and Vocals - Sting
Drums and Vocals - Phil Collins
Pianos and Vocals - Ben Folds

Requiem 05-17-2013 08:48 PM

This already happened, but I wish there was a legit project with them. Trent also appeared on the new QOTSA album coming out, but he didn't really do much.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2kGNdE0b5Q

tldr; Trent Reznor, Josh Homme, Dave Grohl
