Booker T returning to the ring...?

As noted before, WWE officials have discussed an in-ring return for Booker T, likely a short feud. Word is that Booker may feud with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes. An idea has been pitched that would have the two wrestle at Vengeance as a way to put Cody in the spotlight.
Some people haven't warmed up to Booker on commentary, so is this the best alternative?

They only have warmed to him as the fool of commentary. Not exactly the best way to get over.

Triple Naitch 09-29-2011 04:44 AM

Yes yes

No no

Rammsteinmad 09-29-2011 04:54 AM

I like him on commentary, and I like him in the ring. I can dig it, sucka!

I can handle a couple of Booker TV matches.... assuming he gets to work a couple of house shows to "get the rust off'......

Its not an alternative. Just having him one off a few matches, Like Lawler.

I dont see Jerry doing all that many matches anymore.

That's because he's suffering from anal bleeding

I would definetly like to see Booker have one more run as a wrestler before he settles into the Lawler roll of announcer who wrestles when required for an angle. Between him and Regal, I think there's plenty that can be offered through using them and it gives both of their careers the swan song they deserve.

Xero 09-29-2011 02:53 PM

I think Booker would be a good guy to bring in once in a while for a match or a feud. Otherwise I expect him to stay on commentary or just sit at home. I don't think he'd want to be a road agent/producer.

I like Booker on commentary. Shucky ducky quack quack. Now can you dig that SUCKA?!

BigDaddyCool 09-29-2011 06:16 PM

Stevie Ray is a better color commentator, fruit booty.

KaosDarksol 09-30-2011 04:04 AM

A mini feud between Rhodes and Booker t seems lime a pretty good idea, actually anything to get Booker back in the ring is a good idea

XL 09-30-2011 03:52 PM

I could dig Cody v Booker.

Bryan Alvarez said it best on the radio show the other day, Booker is amazing because Booker T spends most of the show Trolling Michael Cole.

Example:
Cole: Mark Henry has never been in a Hell in the Cell.
Booker T: You may be right, Cole.

Cole then just looks at Booker and they're both dead silent, and then Cole just starts to DIE laughing. Dead air on TV and then fucking LAUGHTER. Amazing.

I almost wish Raw was a Four Man booth every week with JR/KING/COLE/BOOKER just for shit like this. Booker isn't worth watching SmackDown for, however, since that show is god-awful fucking terrible.

I still think that Booker T would make a great Pro on NXT. They acknowledge his wrestling school on the air sometimes, and he's been a trainer on Tough Enough. It'd be a great way to ease Booker T back into an active wrestler role. Booker's already travelling with the SmackDown! roster, so he's already at the tapings.

But yes, a series feud with Cody Rhodes would also be pretty good. I'd also mark out for Booker T the manager -- aligning himself with Goldust again to help his friend defeat his (much) younger brother.

You ever notice that when Booker T wears glasses, he looks like Whoopi Goldberg?

It would appear they've been poking at a Booker/Cody feud for a while now, seeing as to how Booker always gets a paper bag.
