WWE.com article - Forgotten competitors of WCW
http://www.wwe.com/inside/wcw/forget...cw-competitors
Thoughts on who they chose? Who else would you include? Alternatively if this thread fails this can also be the Berlyn appreciation thread. |
Disco Inferno entertained me. Zodiac (or Booty Man, or Disciple) NEVER did.
|
Ha, they could have done more than 29.
I know they could easily make a list of WWF/E characters in the same vain. As for WCW guys left out, Hugh G. Rection (which obviously they aren't going to put up nowadays), Mark Madden (I know he was an announcer, but still), and ICP. Yeah. Fuck them. I liked the captions to the pictures too. |
gonna go with norman smiley..and i disagree with glacier and lash leroux (slightly) glacier had potential..they booked him shitty.
|
Berlyn was all kinds of kickass till they pussied out on his gimmick it was only then that he became a footnote
on a side note the fact that lighting foot jerry flynn isnt on this list is a crime |
Can't believe they would disrespect Three Count like that.
|
Alex Wright fucking rules.
|
Berlyn would have worked a lot better if Alex Wright had the same muscle then as he does now.
|
I haven't forgotten ANY of those people. :o
|
At least those guys are a lot better in the ring than The Ding Dongs, that's for damn sure.

How dare they include the following people:
Berlyn 3 Count Ciclope Crowbar G.I. Bro Glacier Kwee-Wee Lash LeRoux Lenny Lane Lodi Pepe Ralphus Disco Inferno |
How dare WWE.com besmirch Ralphus.

Also, saying Lodi didn't have any personality outside of his signs is poppycock. The West Hollywood Blondes were all sorts of entertaining.
|
If anybody from The Flock was included, it should have been Reese. I even had to think for a second to remember his name before I made this post.
|
Disco Inferno was the shit for real. Can't even believe they'd shit on him.
I mean, I can definitely believe it, but you know. |
I didnt watch WCW and even I remember all of these competitors.
|
Crowbar was actually a pretty decent wrestler. And Glacier was fucking awesome.

The only one I hated was Lodi.
I remember one Thunder he held a sign saying "I can beat Jannetty," and Marty superkicked him, knocking him out cold, while wrestling Raven. |
Thats is a really counteractive example of why you hate Lodi. He was fantastic with the flock, knew he was a total jobber and played on it brilliantly.
|
Would you be afraid if Crowbar is walking down the street?
|
Never knew there was a Fake Sting lol.
|
lol @ Lenny Lane

Who is WWE to doubt El Dandy!?!?!?!?
|
Am I the only one who doesn't see Disco on the list?
29 guys, Glacier there twice I don't see Disco. |
He's in the last picture with The Zodiac
|
Didn't even merit his own picture. This insult runs deep.
|
LOL @ Ed Leslie and Barry Darsow getting multiple nods. Kinda sums up their careers.
Big fan of Lash Leroux. Guy was great at getting the shit kicked out of him. |

Oh. Well idiots. Disco was a solid in ring worker, with great mic skills and was ridiculously over for a guy who jobbed 90% of the time. Actually what I liked most about Disco is they always treated him as a guy who could win a hell of a lot more if he just stopped dancing. It's a great way to put over a jobber level guy without making him in to an actual loser. |
I liked Van Hammer when he was "Heavy Metal".

Disco and Glacier did not deserve to be on that list. |
Buff Bagwell should have been on the list - no personality, crap wrestler.
|
Buff's Hat had tons of charisma though.
