* WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio opens up the show and talks about it being a historic edition SmackDown (as the first one taped from Mexico). Del Rio says he does not plan to wrestle tonight - but Teddy Long comes out and says he'll wrestle the Big Show.

* Mark Henry defeated John Morrison with the World's Strongest Slam.

* Teddy Long announces Sheamus vs. Christian and Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler for the United States Title at Vengeance.

* Wade Barrett defeated Daniel Bryan in a great match.

* Sheamus and Zack Ryder beat Christian and Dolph Ziggler in what was said to be an excellent tag match. Ryder and Sheamus were both over big time with the Mexican crowd.

* WWE Intercontinental champion Cody Rhodes comes out with his "baggers" and cuts a promo to cut a promo hyping his match with Randy Orton at Vengeance. Orton comes out and ends up hitting the RKO on one of the baggers.

* Blue Sin Cara defeated Black Sin Cara in a Mask vs. Mask match. The original Sin Cara used the La Mistica for the win in a great match. Both were over with the crowd. After the match, Black Cara's mask had to be removed by force.

* Mexican wrestling legend Mil Mascaras came out to a huge ovation. Triple H was joined by Carlos Cabrera in the ring to announce Mascaras as the first member of the WWE Hall of Fame's Class of 2012.

* WWE Divas Champion Natalya and Beth Phoenix come out to talk about Vengeance. Eve Torres, who will face Phoenix at the PPV, comes out. Eve attacked Beth before fleeing the ring.

* Big Show defeated Alberto Del Rio by DQ in the main event after Ricardo Rodriguez interfered. Mark Henry came out after the match but Big Show stopped him from entering the ring and they stared each other down to end the show.

* Dark Match Main Event: Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton go at it until Cody Rhodes interfered. Blue Sin Cara ran out and saved Randy Orton and the two celebrated to end the show.

Ay, ay, ay...

* Mark Henry defeated John Morrison with the World's Strongest Slam.

The Caras mask vs mask match would have been better saved for a ppv but it makes sense to have it while they are in Mexico because of how much respect a mask has there and those matches having a huge tradition in lucha.

Ziggler is the man and should be wrestling on every PPV twice. Well, maybe not every PPV, but I'm sure this is all part of a plan. The idea of Christian & Ziggler facing Sheamus & Ryder kind of makes me want to jizz. Also, Barrett vs. Bryan sounds pretty cool; but I don't understand why they aren't at least trying to make Bryan look like he can beat some upper-level talent. I guess the idea is that if he can get over while losing, then when he wins it'll be even more effective. Whatever.

Really pumped for the Mask vs. Mask Match, too. And Rhodes vs. Orton at Vengeance has got a star-making feel to it. Orton will win; but Rhodes can still look good in losing.

Wade is easily in the top 5 promo guys right now.

Before the DB match, Wade had a video saying he previously aligned himself with parasites and that the Barrett uprising begins tonight.

The DB and Wade match was just terrific too. I don't care what feud he's in or where he is on the card, he should just be featured once a week and at every PPV for me.

They've removed From The Vault with a bunch of wwe.com exclusives on the international version now as well. Load of shit.

Hell yes! Totally agree top 5 easily, I'd even go maybe #2 after Punk but that's debatable.

Just watched the match, omg amazing for an 8 minute match, I loved the rope choke, big boot spot, what a unique way to tangle DBD in the ropes. Great Wasteland finish spot too. Both guys put on a quick but extremely entertaining stiff looking match, it was awesome.

God this makes me sad, they dropped the ball big time on not having Barrett win at SS

Sweet twice the Dolph, makes the PPV that much more interesting.

Probably the best Smackdown I've watched in months. Mark Henry and Negro Sin Cara's theme missing the dying elephant were the only downers.

I guess the new "thing" for WWE is for the "face" Challenger to beat up on the "heel" Champion leading up to the PPV.

Anyway, I hope they stick with the Barrett uprising. Also, I feel I could watch Daniel Bryan matches all day. Alberto Del Rio is awesome, and even Big Show was looking sharp. The mask v. mask match was pretty great, too. Good show overall. GLAD I DIDN'T READ THESE SPOILERS.
