I think its so stupid when a guy's nickname is only that way because of what their real name is already. No one would have called Keith "The Dean of Mean" if his last name was Grabowski. And who would have the nickname "The Promise" or "The Horror" or "Darth" unless they had some dumb pun to it.

Nicknames are over used but they can be good if they describe what type of fighter the guy is like "The Iceman" is perfect for Chuck Liddell because he gets it from "The Iceman" contract killer that took out many people like Chuck did with his fists. Or like "The Nightmare" for Diego Sanchez, because his relentless pace is nightmare for his opponents, or even "Cro Cop" is good because he is actually a Cop from Croatia.

Frank "Twinkle Toes" Trigg

I think "The Carpenter" is alright, not great, because Clay is actually a carpenter and has actually talked about the carpenter union after his fights.
