Muse - Knights of Cydonia
The Darkness - Get Your Hands Off Of My Woman (Motherfucker)
Electric Six - Danger (High Voltage)
M83 - We Own the Sky
Sigur Ros - Olsen Olsen
Deadmau5 - Strobe (epic build up)

Buzzkill 10-27-2011 02:49 AM

My Morning Jacket - Gideon
Kanye West - Can't Tell Me Nothing
Kanye West - Lost in the Word

Buzzkill 10-27-2011 02:52 AM

Will even take metal songs as acceptable answers

mitchables 10-27-2011 04:00 AM

except epic can't mean anything people want it to, since it has, y'know, a definition. should've gone with a made-up word. otherwise, how are you accumulating anything other than a list of people's favourite songs, period? if epic doesn't mean the same thing to you as it does to me, then we're not really achieving anything here, are we?

Buzzkill 10-27-2011 02:40 PM

Nope, and I realize this thread is entirely irrelevant, but post your favorite epic songs

Buzzkill 10-27-2011 02:42 PM

Fine you fucking dick, post your favorite songs that have either epic climaxes, elicit powerful emotional responses using grandiose instrumentations, give you goosebumps, or just get you jacked to get your day going.

A lot of these are not epic. How can epic mean anything you want? There has to be a definition here.

Pretty sure he didn't mean literally anything. What people consider "epic" can range a lot. There is no exact definition of what an "epic" song exactly is, what

if you can explain to me how everlong or anything kanye west has written is in any way "epic", then maybe i'll concede.

Buzzkill 10-28-2011 02:57 AM

Was being "facetious" but hard to "convey" that over the internet.

Pretty much any Symphony X song that goes longer than ten minutes.

Pretty much any Prog song that goes longer than ten minutes to be honest.

Can't Tell Me Nothing is pure epic arena rap

Lost in the World is just plain epic. I know it's cool to hate on Kanye, but he's one of the most universally acclaimed artists of the last decade, both critically and commercially.

Don't you work for a music magazine? You should know that!
