Zola Jesus

She is fucking awesome. She was trained as an opera singer so her voice is incredible.

Mad pissed I missed her at CMJ, but she kept playing daytime shows and I actually HAVE a job. Feel like she always plays around here though so whatever. Really has burst on the scene a lot of late.

Hadn't heard of her before the latest record. Fucking love it, though.

Her voice is pure sex.

Hey Flaser, what other Zola Jesus albums are particularly good?

Buzzkill 11-04-2011 10:40 PM

There's only 2 other EPs. I'd recommend both. Stridulium and Valusia. I particularly like Valusia, I guess.

Kane Knight 11-05-2011 04:34 PM

Oh. I thought I saw more than two. My bad.

Probably why:

eMusic also has "The Spoils," an evident compilation, since it includes, among others, both "Soeur Sewer" and "Odessa."

Interesting. I only thought she had the EPs.

Looks like I have some downloading to do.

Kane Knight 11-06-2011 03:36 PM

I didn't find all of those albums immediately, but it's not like Wikpedia to lie to me,...:shifty:
